Some said he retired prematurely.

Re: Chips Frawley
I always worried about Nathan Brown retiring, knowing about Carlisle and baby....
Alas, the club did not listen. And none of you lot seemed to think of it much...just saying , farewell, club servant etc.
Had he been up and firing, he may have helped us, maybe, potentially in that last final.

Re: Chips Frawley
I can't see the point in that.
If we are really stuck for a KPD send Battle down there or Oscar if he is fit or Wilkie/Roberton can play tall.

We missed Carlisle badly and we didn’t have any replacement.SinCitySainter wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 5:10pm I can't see the point in that.

Re: Chips Frawley
Why not? He is good insurance in case Carlisle gets injured. He won't cost a draft pick (free), and he will be on a minimum wage obviously. It's a good move I reckon. Also gives another year for Clavarino to develop in the EAFL and prove he is AFL standard.

Re: Chips Frawley
Sam Durdin, who was delisted by North, might be a better bet than fried Chips.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Space on the list is golden at the moment.SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 5:15pmWhy not? He is good insurance in case Carlisle gets injured. Clubs are ditching aging fringe players.

Re: Chips Frawley
I read somewhere that he doesn't have a contract passed next season. So that would suggest it's touch and go for him. Although I'm not exactly an expert when it comes to contracts and such.

Re: Chips Frawley
Clav's out of contract now. He'll be doing well to be on a list at all next year after zero games in three years, especially with list reductions coming.
Yeah nah pleasing positive

Re: Chips Frawley
How crazy is it that we think list reductions are coming yet no one knows how much by so all the clubs have to start guessing whilst also making trades/delistings.. amateur stuff by the AFL.

Re: Chips Frawley
What are we going to do at the end of next year? I thought Clavarino might have been one key defender we could develop ourselves? Are we going to trade in every player we ever need - surely not.

I'm torn between Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull. SaintPelican66 is one of them but I just can't work out which miserable old ghost it is. If you say you are going, please get on the bus!
Now, to the topic. No, sorry James. I admired your decision to retire on 239 AFL games which left your late uncle on 240. Just leave it at that.

Re: Chips Frawley
I'm keen on hearing from those that were opposed to the idea of Ryder coming on board. Chips was very good player and has had a career 1000's would envy. It may also facilitate a trade of some costly dead weight and will definitely provide KPD mentoring for what is a very young backline. Hopefully Clav is safe.

I have just under 24 hours left Trev before I head back to BigFooty. So please be nice. I am just a bit mystified as to the whereabouts of saynta. He is one of the reasons I am leaving this place. Only joking, he's ok.Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 6:41pm I'm torn between Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull. The only issue I have with BigFooty is do I go back as NeXus Nick, CityWest, Joffaboy, NeXus Helen or Bunk_Moreland?SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 7:09pmI have just under 24 hours left Trev before I head back to BigFooty. What about Roberton? He should have been considered.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 5:15pmWe missed Carlisle badly and we didn’t have any replacement.SinCitySainter wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov 2020 5:10pm I can't see the point in that.
