Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Have we acknowledged his output over the past three years?
2018 16 games
2019 9 games
2020 5 games.
Lower output each of those years.
Brain injuries and calf issue aside...is he that better than Lonie?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

He's miles better than Lonie. Lonie wouldn't get a game at Richmond.

Re: Jack Higgins
SAINT-LEE reported hearing on the radio a potential deal of #17 to Adelaide for #20 & #23 and a player.
That is a deal that gets the Higgins trade done.
Say #17 & Dunstan and a 3rd rounder next year for Adelaide's #23 & #20 & a 4th rounder next year from Adelaide.
Then #20 for Higgins and #23 to the draft.

Re: Jack Higgins
If we pull this off , coupled with Crouch this will be an excellent outcome . All season clubs have been able to send their best small defender to Butler, knowing that Lonie, Kent and Hind were unlikely to really hurt them ( acknowledging Lonie had some good games here and there, and Hind one cracker ). Now with Crouch in, Gresham can play more forward again- so we would have 3 small forwards in Gresham , Butler and Higgins all requiring attention and 2 of them in Gresham and Higgins able to rotate into the midfield .

Re: Jack Higgins
Don't trade away next years second round pick as we may need it is Ben King wants to come home. Jack Higgins is good but due to injuries he cant get games anymore plus he may have already peaked. What I mean by that is that he was always training, eating, learning since he was at High school. He will be handy but not worth selling the farm for. Plus if he stays for another year at Tigerland he will be cheap as chips next year

Re: Jack Higgins
Jack Higgins is only a couple of cms taller than Lonie and doesn't average as many goals as Lonie - but in the finals, where you need a stronger body, I'd prefer Higgins.
Lonie was a non-entity vs Richmond in the tough final.
Higgins is not going to average more than say a goal a game, as a small forward.

Re: Jack Higgins
Today we have Gary Buchenara telling the world that the Saints should pay up big for Higgins or the Tigers should refuse to deal.
This follows an article last week saying the Saints should pay up big for Crouch or the Crows should refuse to deal.
Do other clubs score this sort of press in trade week?

Ie Also Penny, Powell, Voss.
Capuano did not work out.
But we were certainly a club that attracted players of other clubs for a bit back then.
