Re: Goodbye
Hey SP66
Take it easy, mate.
We're all Saints fans.
And so, by definition, somewhat frustrated and angst ridden.
Stick around and ignore the slings and arrows.
I don't get it, but we are better off not point scoring against each other.

Yeah.
I don’t do advice.
But there is something about the above post that rings true.
As a teen and young adult, I honestly blamed St Kilda (and still do) for Anxiety Disorder, Bi-Polar Type II, Multiple Personality Disorder, Borderline Disorder and later Complex Borderline Disorder, ADHD, and a variety of other ailments...including that I am stuck living in Japan teaching English, and marooned on Gilligams Island except Ginger ain’t interested.
Phoney humility? Probably. Blame the Saints for that too.
Not that anything needs to be wrong with you!
Just speaking for myself.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Goodbye
I've only been on the forum for a short time compared to many, but I must say I've been disappointed by the attacks that a few, obviously passionate, posters slam onto each other. Obviously there's many years of history amongst these 5 or 6 regular saints fans, but it doesn't seem to contribute much to the discussion that many of us, or at least I want to read about. It's awesome that you guys have a lot of knowledge and passion about what's going on.... I want to hear that stuff. What I think is not cool is attacking each other about whether their post has backup or ITK sources etc or that in the past they screwed up with a prediction. Who really gives a flying f@#k if they were wrong? In the words of Joe Biden, let's all come together for the common passion of the Saints (he didn't actually say that) and just enjoy the rumours, predictions, hot tips and whatever else may come up because in the next few years there's a lot of love coming our way.

Yeah mate being a saints supporter will make you crazy or drive you to substance abuse .As far as I know I'm not crazy yet but substance abuse has taken it's toll . I'm just hanging in there hoping we get rewarded for loyalty .shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sun 08 Nov 2020 10:05pmYeah.

And there goes the relevance of at least 2 or 3 others, who really only post in SP66 threads. I'll miss the entertainment.

Yes pity to see anyone leave like this.
Tough times atm, - good to have entertainment and robust discussion but don't be too hard on each other.
You can never be sure where some people are at personally.

Papers lodged with TBF (The Big Fff) show no matching offer, so we get: a future pick, choice of any threewordstring poster tag, unlimited exclamation marks plus three reveals per draft period (E&OE).

Hey shane, speaking from a lifetime, (62 years) as a Saints supporter, with far more downs than ups, I feel very lucky to have chosen St Kilda FC.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sun 08 Nov 2020 10:05pm

Just speaking for myself.
Why?
Well for one thing it has strengthened my resolve to survive adversity, at a level unequalled by any other team supporter.
As I have mentioned before, it is a little known fact that Saints supporters are deserving of honorary doctorates in Grief Counselling. No longer do I suffer anxiety watching St Kilda play as I never expect them to win, such is their appalling record, not that I ever give up hoping, and when they do win it is a real thrill and gives me great joy!
By lowering expectations, being a team supporter is so much more pleasurable, and although we all know AFL is like a religion, you need to have blind faith to be a true adherent.

Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."
