Latest trade update.
From proven ITK on BF St Deewhy
Jim Webster to Essendon will be for pick whatever the highest bombers have, we will be giving his contract to Jack Higgins, we need his $$ off the books.
Dunstan is off to the Blues...
We are heavily into Hurley as Carlisle replacement (off to Hawthorn) and Lones is out the door also but I think we are all thought that was the case anyway...Essendon will pay some of Hurleys $$$ as they want his contract off the books.
Adelaide won’t match Crouch, compo pick will then upgraded to our 15 as part of a trade which will be Pick 20 and a later pick for our Pick 15.

Re: Latest trade update.
Hurley looked cooked from what I saw of him this year, would much prefer Carlisle.

Agree Hurley makes no sense. Backward step for mine.
Only 192cm and on the decline. Huge downgrade from Carlisle and some games you want tow BIG key backs.
I would rather play Robbo in the firsts than Hurley.

Ah, the bovine manure flows freely this time of the year.
Anyway, Herald Sun is reporting GWS has matched Geelong's offer to Jeremy Cameron. Cop that pussies! If they still want him somebody will have to go.

Re: Latest trade update.
Yes unless he used to have a different profile is nota known ITK as not really posted more than several posts prior to tonight and they where no anything much.
So they have have good knowledge now, but there is no known history. So may just have been in the right place to now know, or could just be doing a Jonny Ray.
Well soon know as we will bid on Crouch and when we do that know how accurate they are.
Webster and Carlisle would leak out soon too.

Called Gubby Allan to Saints long before anyone else
Time will tell at least he doesn’t talk generalist dribble that belongs in a newspaper horoscope

Re: Latest trade update.
Some of that makes sense. Essendon badly need a running half-back after they lost both of their main choices this year. Webster fits that position handily. Webster got a pay rise when he was travelling well so his money would probably match that of Higgins.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sat 31 Oct 2020 7:40pm From proven ITK on BF St Deewhy

We have told Dunstan to look around. He is surplus to our needs. Port don't want him and looks like Adelaide might have passed as well. Any offer would be appreciated.
Saints won't pay enough (smart move - are you watching Carlton?) to get a Pick 2 for Adelaide so other methods are being employed. Looks like players are not involved at this point.
Carlisle to Hawthorn makes sense as they tried for him a couple of years ago. I am afraid we won't get his max value though.
Hurley? Too slow and to short for me. Maybe leadership is his strength.Looks like they need him to replace Carlisle.
Without Carlisle though, you hope that Dyl Roberton is ready to rock and roll.
Seems to me our backline went down a touch.
Nothing better than a good Dad Joke.

I think that is what you call an upgrade.
Didn’t have a great year but the injectors are a basket case.
What you are saying now was said when we were after Paddy Ryder and that turned out pretty well.
Hurley is a Saints supporter. Of course that means nothing but it is nice to know.
He can play. St Kilda might be the very thing he needs. A fresh start at a new club. New coach.
We tried to get him a couple of years ago and failed. Hurley was loyal so things must be pretty bad at Bomberland.

Great to see trade speculation and rumours getting discussed freely, even if it's just that. About time.

Re: Latest trade update.
Dunstan's papers stamped I believe. He is not in our best midfield when everyone is fully fit.

Re: Latest trade update.
Anyone that sat out the 2016 year because of the Essendon drugs saga has baggage. We have Carlisle and Paddy at our club but at least they chose to move on before the brown stuff hit the fan and they made a conscious decision to leave that place after they were deceived by the people they trusted.
Hurley had admitted that he had difficulty coping mentally. I reckon if we are taking guys like Hurley we may as well put in a bid for Jesse Hogan

I am looking at how he can play next season, and not what he once was.
Also huge key forwards now abound. Back in Hurley's AA days (2015 and 2017) they were rare and one in his own team.
Plus it may be a new start for him, but he cannot grow, and I doubt he can add 10kg of muscle.
When we play the Lions they will now have the 204 cm Hipwood, 200cm Daniher and 205cm ruck pushing forward. Which one does Hurley try and take on?
