Roberton was available all year and played one game.
I don’t think there’s much currency in either of them.
Has he ever had 1 good season?
Feels like he has a string of so so games, a couple of good ones and gets injured.
His disposal that is supposed to be elite looks fairly iffy to me...
Reckon a third rounder would be a great get for him if anyone offered it. Maybe we can offer him as steak knives as part of another trade

Great post, Vazelos, but man that's a nasty nickname!Vazelos wrote: ↑Wed 21 Oct 2020 6:47pm Webater 100% is up for trade and so would Roberton. Players out of the 22 on big contracts have to be cleared as the list evolves.
I said it once and I will say it again if Caldwell comes in especially expect some players on big money or not in first 22 to be up for trade.
Ross- expensive player 700-800 way overs
Dunstan- finished he is even behind Bytel now
I would love to get rid of McKenzie but no one would be stupid enough to take him.
Lonie will probably leave.
Lethlean is not here to stuff around he is here to win a premiership that’s how it goes.

SEN (Garry Lyon the grass-cutter) says JWeb n Dunstan go to Crows in a trade for Crouch

I think the suggestion is that they cover part of Crouch’s salary and we trade both to them for late picks.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:24am SEN (Garry Lyon the grass-cutter) says JWeb n Dunstan go to Crows in a trade for Crouch

Don’t like the steak knives part / late picks ?
Where do we see that part ... I’d hope for 30’s pick for Dunstan and a pick in 50’s for Webster (similar to Butler range) .. Or is that asking too much ?
If we get salary cap relief and picks 35 & 55 say ... that’s a win.
We must have another decent player on our horizon as you would think we had spare cash pre/post Crouch deal.

I wonder if both are on bigger deals than the club would want you to knowRocket wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:57am Don’t like the steak knives part / late picks ?

No, the way I read it we were trading them for salary cap relief so we could pay Crouch more!skeptic wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:33amI think the suggestion is that they cover part of Crouch’s salary and we trade both to them for late picks.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:24am SEN (Garry Lyon the grass-cutter) says JWeb n Dunstan go to Crows in a trade for Crouch
And I thought the Hannebery lovers were saying we had tons of room and his contract was mostly front loaded anyway.
As I said at the time the true cost of Hannebery would be felt in coming years when our younger players came up for contract renewal but in this case it has reared it's head even sooner.
I know I am in the minority but I would rather keep Dunstan and get rid of Hannebery (based on his last 2 years output).

So Crouch's salary is inflated so Adelaide can get better compensation. So Adelaide pay part of the salary to compensate us. Then we trade JWeb and Dunstan for late picks.
So Crouch wins.
JWeb wins
Dunstan wins
Adelaide do OK
We do OK depending on what we pay Crouch and I would expect reasonable pick/picks for Webster and Dunstan. Adelaide have picks 1, 8, 20, 29, 44, 50, 60, 74 (and probably pick 2). I would hope for 29.

I got over Baroose going, didn't care.
Dunstan? If it helps us, great.
JWeb- a bit sad but where do we fit him?
I saw him on TV in the stands during one game, looking really sad, hm

Problem is the AFL will NOT allow Adelaide to pay any part of Crouch's salary if they receive free agent compensation for Crouch.Gershwin wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 11:19amI'm a bit slow so bear with me.skeptic wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:33amI think the suggestion is that they cover part of Crouch’s salary and we trade both to them for late picks.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Fri 23 Oct 2020 10:24am SEN (Garry Lyon the grass-cutter) says JWeb n Dunstan go to Crows in a trade for Crouch

Don't suppose anyone has asked Dunstan and Webster.
Shades of Acres.
Get your arse over to Perth for an immediate medical so you can be traded out with 24 hours.
What !
