Pretty bullish on this one.

I reckon he is gonna love the Ratten cuddles.
Remember that he was a key guy in their GF year in 2017 and since then has lived through the shyte storm that has been Adelaide ever since. The camp and what not.....

He's gonna love Moorabbin.

So Crouch Potato has nominated the saints.
We can buy him cheap with picks or front end load a contract that delivers Adelaide pick No2 for no picks.
Like Hawthorn delivering pick no 2 to Melbourne in return for James Frawley.

There will be plenty of competition for spots which can only be healthy for the team and the club moving forward.

And as I said, you’re delusional if you think that Hanneberry and Carlisle are the only players that indulge. Jack Steven was very popular at the club. Most guys socialised with him. Open your eyes. All clubs indulge in it sadly. Coke is the new beer in this generation
The perception of recreational drug use is that anyone who uses a drug has an addiction or a problem. Thats complete bulls***. The absolute overwhelming majority of people who use drugs wake up the next day and get on with their lives. Addiction occurs when someone has something they hate in their lifes which they either want to replace of avoid which is where the dependency comes from. Someone seemingly in the prime of their lives who uses some coke is not at risk of anything other than a sore head. The whole chemical hooks argument of "one go and youll be hooked" has been disproven 100 times over. I have zero concerns if these guys have a bump of coke in the offseason. Its literally no different to having a beer. Until they are drinking or using drugs to cope with some problem, then we have nothing to worry about.
Yes but the really stupid ones try to hide in plain sight!
I.E Crouch, Carlisle, Buddy, Beams and Steven.

I bring it up because something has to give if we get both of Crouch and Caldwell
I reckon Essendon's first round draft pick would do it (!! 8-) )

If Ross goes to Essendon then it shows that we are serious about mid-time for Jye.

How to get past the scrum: "Crouch, touch, pause, engage'. Then grunt a lot.

The Crouch part seems the only piece we have missing. We have to "try". (Too late for dad jokes?)

If we don't front load his contract and simply pay his value, the Crows receive Pick 19. If we do front load the contract, they get Pick 2. Could we then offer our pick, #15 & a player for Pick 2 if we agree to front load?

Give GWS Pick 2 for Caldwell in a heavily compromised draft. We get back into the draft by trading players for picks, possibly getting us a couple of picks in rounds 2 & 3.

If Crouch as a mature player becomes a Saint, then I hope he doesn't do a Hill and play in his comfort zone while getting big bucks.

To be fair to Hill, he started the year on 900k pa, and ended on 450k. That's a significant haircut that would make anyone pare back the effort.

Possibly, but posters on here that think first class athletes who train their guts out daily are also regular drug takers are the delusional ones. In my humble f****** opinion that is.

Your posts arre offensive. You can disagree with what i post but cut the personarl insults ffs.

I stick by what I posted.
Wtf you on about?? If you find that offensive you have a thinner skin than I ever imagined. Being labelled delusional is now a personal insult?

I long ago gave up on our players being choir boys after various things I've heard from some very reliable sources. I know it makes it easier to support the team if their values/morals align with that of your own, but I don't reckon it's realistic that's all. For the record I detest drugs myself and what they do to people and particularly the people who manufacture/produce them. But it's rife across the league and as a previous poster has mentioned. Using drugs does not make one a druggie, not in my opinion. If it did then the league is choc a block full of functional drug addicts and I don't think that's the case. Crouch was merely indulging the excesses that most of them do at the end of the year.
You are entitled to your opinion. it is definitely not mine, and I won't be changing it.

One thing that worries me about the addition of Crouch is what it does to the pecking order in the middle.

When you bring in someone new, they tend to get favoured treatment.

Will it shuffle Zac Jones down the order? Will it mean Hunter Clark remains a talented half back rather than a potentially elite midfielder?

What does it mean for improvers such as Sinclair and for worthy players who can’t get a gig such as Dunstan?

All for bringing in new talent, but they should be judged and selected purely on merit and for what they can bring to the team.

Usually they tend to be given an armchair ride because of promises made to get them there in the first place. I don’t like that. It should be spelt out to them that selection will be based on merit and form.

This advice comes MOSTLY from people in the prime of their lives.

Whether older generations want to accept it or not, recreational drug use is as accepted as alcohol in modern society.

Keep him fit and kerb his penchant for booze and we have a very good player.

Just need Caldwell now to pull the trigger and a fit Gresh and we finally have the midfield depth we have been screaming out for.

There will be plenty of competition for spots which can only be healthy for the team and the club moving forward.
I know posters won't like me saying it, not that I give a rats, but it is not booze that is his problem.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones If you think that we don't have players using drugs you are in denial IMO
Possibly, but posters on here that think first class athletes who train their guts out daily are also regular drug takers are the delusional ones. In my humble f****** opinion that is.
Mate I worked in proximity to professional ballet dancers for years. Never seen anyone work or train harder than them and they inhabit a very high pressure world. They are insanely strong and fit. There’s certainly substance use in that world. It’s how they survive the intensity of what they do.

No different to having a beer? Except drinking beer is not illegal.
I was talking from a health concern perspective.

Well from my work days, I would say your post is terribly naive at lest.
