Jeremy Cameron
Why not throw the kitchen sink at this man?
He would work very well with king and membrey
Free agent cost us nothing but cap space
He could make a massive difference
If he doesn’t want to come to us so be it, but gee he is almost a perfect fit....

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Yep a far far better option than Brown and would be an excellent on field mentor for Max.
Right age demographic plus he's had to go through it all at GWS as they were developing, so would have that connection with Max. Not to mention, he's a beautiful kick!!!

Maybe we are after him.

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Cameron and Brown are both damned good players, but I’d say teams with more pressing needs will make them offers we be silly to try to match.
I’d prefer we find a really good ruckman to play alongside Paddy Ryder. A Goldstein or similar.
This would allow us to play Marshall more or less as a key forward. He and King in tandem gives us a terrific structure up forward, particularly when you factor in Membrey and Battle, who can both play key position at a pinch.
I think lack of said structure cost us against the Tigers, though it might just come down to lack of composure and inexperience in big finals - which Richmond has in spades. We had virtually the same number of scoring shots.
We’re not far off it.

I hope we are talking to him.

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Yes, we know this from experience. The Saints have had a large war chest for a few years, but it has until last year, reaped little reward. We know money isn't always the attraction. Playing in big games/finals is also a factor. Now that the Saints have demonstrated this is a reality with this list, and with more to come, players like [and hopefully] Jeremy Cameron will be keen to join, rather than just play for money for the likes of Essendon/North!

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Jeremy Cameron in my view is greatly overrated . Can be very good when he is “on”, but goes missing for entire games, and seems to me to lack determination and commitment . Kicked 24.13 as their key forward this year in 17 games, which is very poor for someone with his experience, opportunities and reputation. I reckon he is a downhill skier, and will be overpriced . Prefer others.

Max King kicked nearly as many (22) and he is just a beginner.George27 wrote: ↑Mon 12 Oct 2020 9:30pm Jeremy Cameron in my view is greatly overrated . Admittedly, he needs to spend summer working on his set-shot kicking. I think he went at something like 45 per cent for goals accuracy (which would also take into account snaps).
He needs to get on top of this while he is young so his career isn’t dogged by it. It’s just technique and confidence.

He's already got the kitchen sink. But if he is prepared to accept the bathroom tap for a chance to play in a premiership, then fine - get him.

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Jeremy Cameron and Ben Brown both think they are Tony Lockett in his prime and should be rewarded as the most valuable player in the competition.
Unfortunately they are not a patch on Plugger.
To get either player will drain the salary cap.

Things might have not been rosey at GWS but you don't express it out on the field like Cameron has this season
Played the whole year like a pre Madonna with a gherkin stuck up he's ass

Re: Jeremy Cameron
I hope & expect the club to at least talk to him
No draft pick(s) required, just cash
Can play him at FF & King to CHF or flip them around
Play him on the wing or a roaming forward
The possibilities are exciting

Re: Jeremy Cameron
Reports are Collingwood are going hard for Cameron that’s why they seems to be pushing Treloar out. I think Cameron is leaving otherwise why the hell hasn’t he signed. This is the big domino of the trade period and where ever he lands or stays will have poachable players

Save those pennies for Bing, make him the focus for 2022, in the meantime, 2021, improve our midfield with the likes of Caldwell, Witherden, Higgins.

Re: Jeremy Cameron
If past rumours are correct Geelong don't pay huge money to anyone - how does Cameron's pay packet fit into that regime? One can only hope that it causes discontent in their ranks and they implode.
