GCS will want to play a huge whack of his salary (he's reportedly on $500K) before anyone will take a look there. The knock on Big Pete is that he's not overly fond of the contest as a big fella should be. It's amazing a guy of his talent is unable to find a spot in GCS' team.older saint wrote: ↑Mon 12 Oct 2020 10:49am 2 meter Peter and make him into a ruck and not a forward - ala Stanley???

Re: Delistings Confirmed
Not as mind boggling and Daniel McKenzie getting a 3-year contract extension until the end of 2022. Whomever did that deal needs to kick themselves fair in the nuts. What a fvcking disgrace that was.skeptic wrote: ↑Sun 11 Oct 2020 11:56pmVery clearly not going to make itbangaulegend wrote: ↑Sun 11 Oct 2020 11:02pmFrom what I've seen Joyce is not up to AFL standard may have a contract but IMO would doubt it will be honoured.
Anyone with an ounce of sense saw it... mind boggling that he got an extension for so long

Re: Delistings Confirmed
He was bloody stiff that Howard came in this year. He was absolutely the 100% rolled gold replacement for Nath Brown until then. Unlucky to have a bad shoulder last year. Right place; wrong time.

Weird that Logan didn’t keep his spot on the list given our lack of key back stocks perpetuated by Brown’s retirement

McKenzie will get desisted or traded.

Re: Delistings Confirmed
Maybe they couldn't fit him in under the cap, as they're keeping some spare $$ for another player?
They might have done all the juggling of $$ and were backed into a corner.
Previous list manager might have done us a big disservice by extending DMack and others for too long.
And yes, we're paying too much for JB so that hurts.

Re: Delistings Confirmed
The key term in these delistings is "will not be offered contracts for 2021 season."
Others who need contract offers are
Bytel
Carlisle
Clavarino
Hind
Marsh
Parker
Phillips
Savage
Lonie
Paton
BUT
Dunstan
Joyce
McKenzie
Roberton
Webster
Have contracts
Joyce and McKenzie maybe extremely lucky
Alabakis is a rookie B so safe for another year.

Joyce already contracted for 2021
Choice between Clavarino and Austin
Austin lost, Joyce very lucky.

If doesn't like the contest then no. Had a ruckman like that before and that didn't work for us eitherSaintmatt wrote: ↑Mon 12 Oct 2020 11:24amGCS will want to play a huge whack of his salary (he's reportedly on $500K) before anyone will take a look there.
