Great player, could be very dangerous, but seems to struggle with easy shots for goal!

Cut throat game.
Undersized with the loss of Ryder and Carlisle.
Against Richmond.
Needed to risk everything.
Still not enough.

Broken bones in the foot can take a long time to mend.

Still can't understand why Josh was not in the team at the beginning of the year.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Stupid decision to play him. Didn’t need to risk everything. Other players were available. And now he has a broken foot. The selection committee had their worst game for the season.

Made absolutely no sense to play him. Why risk such a valuable long-term talent like that? Obviously Battle wasn't right. Now they have set him back even further.

Agreed.
Long term injury very real risk. Also 30 mind out of the final.
Would have preferred Roberton instead.

Well, Robbo has serious health issues too, which could have had repercussions had he played a final after not playing a game for seven months.

I reckon if you asked Battle if he wish he'd played in his first ever final, he would say 'every day of the week'.

Thanks for your service Josh!

He might not be back until January but at least now he has finals experience.

What article? I haven’t seen anything official from the club on this.

Yes but that could be the hotspot turning into a break.

Pre-season training for all AFL players this year is unlikely to commence before January 2021 due to the late season finish and compressed games etc.

It might work in our favour.

Exactly. I hope we recruit some assistant coaches with a bit of imagination over the off season. Selection betrayed complete absence of plan B.

No actual details of the injury anywhere and Josh's Facebook page has one person saying that the info on broken foot is wrong.

What is a broken foot ?

Could it be micro fractures in one of the tiny bones that make up the foot.
Or could it be clean snap of one of the large bones in the foot.
The term "broken foot" is rather meaningless.

It all probably means Battle he has to battle with a painful foot for a couple of months and stay off it a much as possible until it stops hurting.

Fake news????

No mention on St Kilda website so quite unsubstantiated....
