Maybe he could just miss the tough games when his team needs him. Yep 400 big number.

He’s a outside player every team has them his positives out way the negative. Then again takes a special type of armchair expert to question courage.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 8:50amNot so big when you drop everything for football and refuse to put your head over the ballCURLY wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 8:46am

Re: Brad Hill
Even outside players need to put their head of the ball when it’s their turn. Every half decent footballer knows that

Given Fiora and Hill would be undisputed number 1 and 2 in terms of toughness (not sure which order) who would the candidates for the third podium spot be?

Re: Brad Hill
He goes he just go like some others it’s like some players don’t run as hard or as far as Hill. They are all expected to they all try to they just can’t. A sideline expert like yourself wouldn’t watch that.

Nothing worse than a armchair critic claiming a player is soft or doesn’t go hard enough.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 9:12amThey say ‘game recognises game’, and now I guess we can safely say the opposite is true too

Re: Brad Hill
Hill is an absolute soft c**k and by far the worst of our trades. He is happy to be the front runner when the team is going ok, but is mentally weak and goes completely missing as soon as the going gets a little tough. Ratts needs to read him the riot act leading into next season! Hopefully Gaggs put some performance clauses in his contract??

Mentally weak players don’t run end to end last quarters.

Re: Brad Hill
What were our highly touted recruiters thinking?
His actual trade cost was probably around what you would expect to pay for Judd or Pendlebury as a 26 year old!
I would not hesitate to send him back for a straight swap for Acres.
The stuff he is getting away with on the ground cannot possible be a good example to younger teammates!

Re: Brad Hill
Can you just be an outside running machine in today’s football?Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:47pm He is never going to bust a pack and that’s not his go
Would love to see a little more courage in how how he throws his body into a tackle....
But that said.... he’s an outside running machine who I agree we’ll use him better over time
Disposal is normally great
I was more disappointed with midfield clearance tonight.....and the coach has mentioned it 3 times since the game ...15-5 difference...
summertime and the living is easy ........

Both should have been playing for us last night. Acres is possibly the most valuable set of steak knives ever given away.samoht wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 8:18am Acres is the running machine we had and didn't appreciate/nurture ... ask any player whose tackles he's easily broken through.
Freo got the best out of Hill and they are now getting the best out of Acres!!
This typifies St Kilda and its poor decision making ... it's not just confined to the playing field.

Re: Brad Hill
Ok
Hill had a bad night .
Do we ever think that part of this may be due to the tigers .
Hanners and hill were a big part of last weeks win .
This week they did bugger all
Do we think the tigers may have planned to keep the ball away from them .
On the other hand
Seb Ross had plenty of the ball
There has been plenty of threads over his time discussing how he butchers the ball.
Do we think the tigers would have happy that he got plenty of the ball .

Listen to you lot looking for a scapegoat.
Last week he was instrumental in our win over the Dogs.
He had a howler. I guarantee he knows it.
Hill is almost the very, very least of our worries.

Re: Brad Hill
You must be joking!
What about the example he provides for younger players...
When you cost what he did providing an example is part of the deal.
Just because you're an outside player doesn't mean you have licence to avoid the possibility of physical contact.

The sheer irony of giving him Max Hudghton's jumper number.

He had a good few games in the second half of the season.
Was in the votes recently.
Yes he was horrible last night, but he will come good.

Really? I would put Billings ahead of Aussie Jones any day. Aussie Jones could kick a great goal and was a very good attacking half-back with excellent foot skills in the latter stages of his career.CQ SAINT wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 5:14pmAussie Jones would have to be right up there.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 9:06am Given Fiora and Hill would be undisputed number 1 and 2 in terms of toughness (not sure which order) who would the candidates for the third podium spot be?
