It’s absolutely the priority.

Normal work days home and away games not finals for your third. The Barometer wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:32pmYou could not be more wrong.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:12pmI know I’m right anyone that’s been around sporting clubs knows it. We really didnt pay him that much.
He snorted most of it before he even started.
It cost him dearly.

Anyone who has seen their child born, or been through difficult life threatening issues in the birth of their child would not even ask this type of s***. I am certain Rats understood, even though the kids in the team might be confused, like the children in this thread
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Re: Why did we pay Carlisle $$$ ...
In hindsight the best days of my life is the week I spent in hospital with my wife after complications with our third. We got through it but I can’t imagine what might have happened if I wasn’t there and things went the wrong way.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:35pmNormal work days home and away games not finals for your third. The Barometer wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:32pmYou could not be more wrong.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:12pmI know I’m right anyone that’s been around sporting clubs knows it. If that’s what you need to tell yourself to get through your days. Again, this says more about you than anybody else.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 11:12pmI know I’m right anyone that’s been around sporting clubs knows it. I’d like to see you go up to Ratt’s and tell him that football is more important than kids and family.

And how does that explain the 80% of our players tonight who while they tried hard tonight were just off their game in ball use, including shots on goal.Doug Booth wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 10:21pm ... to elect not to play against a key forward in our most important game of the year?

No it's not. Hopefully, you have no idea what it's like, but missing a birth is one thing, missing a tragedy is another. Missing a final, f***, I've played in 4 premierships, Id give them all up for 1 more day without that feeling of loss. Family 1st.CURLY wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 12:16amThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 10 Oct 2020 12:07amIf that’s what you need to tell yourself to get through your days. Re: Why did we pay Carlisle $$$ ...
Saints want Jake to stay now it seems.
The best thing we did was support Jake with his family.
Just imagine his attitude with the support he has had and the fact that he has 3 kids to support.
Think about it.

The job, yes THE JOB, is important but family is #1 .
Any person puts his or her family first in the face of criticism and loss is a fecking hero to me.
Well done Carlisle. We wont give two sh1ts about you in 2 yrs but you'll always have that sweet sweet memory of holding precious bubs just minutes old and your missus knows what matters most to you.
Fecking father of the year right there lads!!!

Agreed, its a legitimate question...Moods wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 10:32pmNo he's not. It's a valid opinion. I've expressed the same sentiments during the week. Done now. Not interested in raking back over it, but certainly can't invalidate the view just because you don't agree with itIluvHarvey wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 10:29pmI know we are all hurting right now but you are making a fool of yourself.Doug Booth wrote: ↑Fri 09 Oct 2020 10:28pm Should we routinely ask players for permission to play them?
They get paid huge money to play about 50 hours of footy.
They shoukdn't be allowed to opt out.
Geary just had a child in Noosa, Carlisle's family was also in Noosa a couple of weeks ago.... maybe there were compliccations etc but considering that it was the biggest game of his career, why couldn't Carlisle have the child in Noosa aswell?
Has she had the baby yet?
