In hindsight the best days of my life is the week I spent in hospital with my wife after complications with our third. We got through it but I can’t imagine what might have happened if I wasn’t there and things went the wrong way.

No it's not. Hopefully, you have no idea what it's like, but missing a birth is one thing, missing a tragedy is another. Missing a final, f***, I've played in 4 premierships, Id give them all up for 1 more day without that feeling of loss. Family 1st.

Geary just had a child in Noosa, Carlisle's family was also in Noosa a couple of weeks ago.... maybe there were compliccations etc but considering that it was the biggest game of his career, why couldn't Carlisle have the child in Noosa aswell?
