Re: Confirmed. Battle Marsh and Savage In. Tigs Lynch & Broad in
Josh Battle headlines a trio of recalled Saints as Brett Ratten looks to upset the reigning Premiers on Friday night.
The emerging star joins Shane Savage and Jonathon Marsh as the inclusions, after the well-publicised departures of Paddy Ryder and Jake Carlisle – as well as Ben Long's unsuccessful Tribunal appeal – opened the door.

I would have preferred that the Tiges kept Chol in.

Means our team is quicker and taller than the Tiges.
Hopefully Friday night we all will also get to say better than the Tigers

I doubt Marsh plays, Webster’s named in the emergencies for the first time all year so I’m betting he is a late inclusion.

Re: Confirmed. Battle Marsh and Savage In. Tigs Lynch & Broad in
Game is tomorrow, so I will go with as selected unless there is a genuine injury.
Plus Marsh will have been picked to play forward. He has only trained with the forwards this year.
With Savage in we do not also need Webster.

A couple of boys have a lot to prove and are potentially playing for a spot in a prelim final team, so hopefully they come out fired up

In hindsight. Abbott, Robertson, Hind and Webster were always going to be the emergencies if not selected in the 22.

Re: Confirmed. Battle Marsh and Savage In. Tigs Lynch & Broad in
I like the changes we've made...would have brought in Hind for Kent to stretch them for pace but really well balanced team overall.
I feel that if we can cover Lynch, we go a long way towards winning this. Richmond's forward line looked pretty ineffective last week (disposal efficiency 29% and more inside 50s than Lions) with Riewoldt looking a shadow of his former self (I know the Riewoldt name is sacred around here but it needed to be said).
I'd start with Howard on Lynch....GO SAINTERS!

Am surprised, and a bit dissapointed, that Luke Dunstan was not named, even as an emergency.
Can anybody confirm if he's fit?

Marsh is not up to AFL standard, hope he proves me wrong tomorrow. Great my man Savage comes in.

Yeah, I said that earlier in the year but after watching the earlier game against the tigers again, I have changed my mind.Peanut Farm wrote: ↑Thu 08 Oct 2020 6:49pm Marsh is not up to AFL standard, hope he proves me wrong tomorrow. Great my man Savage comes in.

I also wrote him off earlier in the year until that Richmond game.....he looks a bit clumsy but he has great pace for a big man and is hard at it - bit of X factor there - not unhappy that we've brought him back insaynta wrote: ↑Thu 08 Oct 2020 6:52pmYeah, I said that earlier in the year but after watching the earlier game against the tigers again, I have changed my mind.Peanut Farm wrote: ↑Thu 08 Oct 2020 6:49pm Marsh is not up to AFL standard, hope he proves me wrong tomorrow. Im in a bit of the same boat on Kentsilverhalo wrote: ↑Thu 08 Oct 2020 6:47pm I like the changes we've made...would have brought in Hind for Kent to stretch them for pace but really well balanced team overall.
Was not overly impressed with his effort or level of skill and execution against dogs
Hind would have to play a blinder and thats a big effort for the kid
But he could have been the unknown factor and he most certainly has the speed to worry the tigers defence
Club has selected on experience here tho
