Paddy's replacement
Paddy will leave a big hole as he was possibly BOG yesterday. From what we have seen of Abbott he isnt up to it at the level, so against Richmond I would consider bringing in Marsh to play the 2nd ruck role. Gives us better 2nd efforts and more drive when forward.
I think Kent also needs to make way for Battle.

Agree
In: Battle, Marsh
Out Ryder, Kent
Marsh to help deal with Richmond interception and to take some hits off King.

Yeah no Abbott please.
Marshall has done it before and can do it again, time to step up

Re: Paddy's replacement
We’re probably lucky that with the shorter quarters Marshall should be able to do 90% of the ruck work. Hopefully Battle is ok and can come in for Ryder. If Carlisle is out as well that will bea stretch.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

Re: Paddy's replacement
Marshall to ruck most of the game and Battle (if fit) to play forward in Marshall’s usual role. Must have someone physical down there to take the focus off King.

Re: Paddy's replacement
Assuming Carlisle is playing, could we use a combination of Marsh, Battle & Carlisle for 5-10min each quarter.
Means omitting Kent & bring in Battle & Marsh.....
But I wouldn't be against to an out of the box idea and bring in Austin instead of Marsh if the coaches think he can play in the ruck...
Maybe they need some ruck tryouts this week. To see who can impress. You never know Robo might surprise us all

Re: Paddy's replacement
Out: Paddy
In : Battle
IF Carlisle goes home
In Roberton - he gets the Riewoldt match up
IF Long rubbed out - Savage
If 2 of above happens no more changes if only Paddy then Kent under pressure but not sure who to bring in against pressure of Richmond.

Re: Paddy's replacement
Hopefully Battle in for Paddy
The fade out in the last quarter has proven costly.. I recon if we maintained our lead, Hannas and Paddy would have been on the bench during the final minutes rather than Paddy being out on the ground

Re: Paddy's replacement
I'd also bring in HInd for Kent - he's got that X-Factor and I get the feeling he might be a big occasion playerbigcarl wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 4:17pmPerfectolder saint wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 3:49pm Out: Paddy

Re: Paddy's replacement
Ok....
Out: Long (But have to appeal), Ryder, Carlisle & Kent
In:
Battle - to play tall forward to take pressure off Max
Webster - to play longs role
Robertson / Austin (who ever is in the best form / condition) to play CHB / tall back on Jack
And someone to play second ruck, who can also contribute around the ground ie Marsh or Austin. But can they contribute??

Missing Paddy Big time already Paddy
Really really disappointed Paddy cannot play.
From beautiful ruck taps to Marks & sweet shots at goal Paddy is a Gem.
Good luck sainters
