Jake really put in from what I saw on TV. Well done Jake.

Hope Battle is right.

Hopefully Battle in and Kent out.
Absolutely hopeless performance from Kent tonight...
5 disposals, 2 out on the full, no tackles
Several contests where he let an opponent take a mark almost unopposed
Did not give a yelp tonight
Quite literally his best play of the match was going for a contested mark in the last quarter late and actually competing

Hopefully Battle is ready to go. Kent out definitely, gets to some good spots but struggles to gain possession.

Too be fair one of his out on the fulls he was pushed in the back and the free kick came back to him.skeptic wrote: ↑Sat 03 Oct 2020 8:50pm Hopefully Battle in and Kent out.

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
Not so confident about this one
Bring the crap we brought today and we will get smashed
Battle for Ryder
Hind for speed for Kent?
Long out? Hopefully the MRO say insufficient force given Macrae played out the game with no issues

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
Battle for Ryder (inj)
Hind for Kent
Roberton for Carlisle if he is unavailable
If Long suspended (surely unlikely) then Savage comes in.

Kent was sub par again. he is a depth player but not best 22. Interesting to see if he gets another game

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
IN: Battle, Savage
OUT: Ryder (injured), Long (suspensed)
I wish Longy doesn’t get suspended but as we all know the game has turned soft.
Battle can play forward and give Marshall a chip out in the ruck when he needs a breather.
Savage is a close like-for-like replacement for Long.

I'll be very interested to see how stubborn Ratts is. Surely he drops Kent. This cannot continue. It is starting to remind me of the situation with Newnes who kept being selected every week even though he did not perform.

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
I wouldn’t mind seeing Hind or Parker come in, they both have X factor, they could rip a game apart if they hit, and worse case scenario is they give you a 5 possession Kent game

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
Tough to make the case for Kent ahead of Hind or Phillips.
He does some useful work and he took a lot metres at important moments tonight....but does go missing. 5 touches just not enough.
Still think a year of development of Parker in VFL would have been what he needed to take that role from his rivals. Unfortunately not to be.

Re: Changes for the Second Semi Final against Richmond Tigers
IMO it's a mistake to bring in anyone who hasn't played senior AFL at the Gabba or Metricon this year: they just won't be able to keep up the pace of the 2020-style game.
On that basis, and assuming Ryder and Carlisle are out, then we are looking at Battle (if fit) and Marsh. If Battle isn't fit, I'd personally go for Savage over Roberton, but that's a tossup.
Kent's not great, but Hind is even worse, so Kent stays in for mine.
