This talk of trading for a draft pick is madness
Perspective people...
A draft pick regardless of where it is gets you the hope that you may get a good player
Paton is already a good to excellent player
Why would trading him for a chance at good player be close to his measurable value
Madness
Would be a player and a pick or 2 picks minimum
The druggies after Paton

That’s why I said hypothetically I would want 2 top 10 picks for someone like Paton who is a 95% chance of being a star of the comp

Exactly right skeptic. It makes no sense from our point of view. We would only do that if we were in rebuild mode or we had too many of that type, neither of which are true.skeptic wrote:This talk of trading for a draft pick is madness

Re: The druggies after Paton
I love Ben Paton and would hate to lose him - the only reason he would go is for money because Essendon is most definitely not a destination club now nor will it be for a number of years. Would he choose the opportunity to potentially play in finals for many years to come or stuck in a team of cellar dwellers for an eternity - I know which way I'd go
