Re: Umpire No.2
We've had quite a lot of number two's from the umps this year.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Re: Umpire No.2
I have no doubt Nick Foot has been at least partly responsible for many Saints losses over the years.
Why the club hasn't try to sort something out regarding this incredibly biased agenda by one umpire over a long period of time is beyond me.
For me it all goes back to a match at the MCG some years ago in a match against Richmond. in the match Richmond had a staggering 9 frees, most of some doubt, within 30 metres of goal and awarded by Foot. We did not receive one free in the forward 50 that day although several infringements occurred. I have kept individual stats on Foot in his St Kilda games since, including frees against us in front of goal, and the figures are staggering. I passed some of the information on to the club and was informed it would be passed on to the match committee . I heard nothing more.
Interestingly in his last St Kilda game earlier this year he gave the closest I have seen to a balanced display by him.

Your 3rd paragraph is copied verbatim from one of your earlier posts about a month ago.StPeter wrote: ↑Fri 18 Sep 2020 1:09pm I have no doubt Nick Foot has been at least partly responsible for many Saints losses over the years.

Maybe you're peeved that more folks didn't acknowledge you the first time.
Look, I don't doubt your assertion, I actually think you're accurate, but we (our club) are not the Pies, we're like a corner store and the power clubs are like Coles and Woolworths.
We'll get no respect from the Kremlin
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Umpire No.2
From herald sun.com.au
Saints best and worst maggots
ST KILDA
Best: Matt Stevic - 12 games, 7 wins, 5 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 58.3%
Worst: Robert O'Gorman - 10 games, 3 wins, 7 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 30%
Imterestly the article says this of Razor Ray.
"He is the umpire AFL fans often love to hate.
The veteran whistle blower who has become famous during his long career in the lurid lime green for his on-field banter with players.
But exclusive Fox Lab statistics now show exactly what the “Razor” Ray Chamberlain effect is for all the teams in the finals mix.
In an analysis of each team’s winning percentage by umpires across the past four seasons, News Corp can reveal which teams will want to see “Razor” Ray in October – and which teams won’t.
The Western Bulldogs sit at the top of the list of the top-eight sides who would probably prefer to have any other umpire officiating their game.

Figures show the Bulldogs have won only one in three games the experienced Chamberlain has umpired.
When he umpires in Richmond games, the Tigers have a 61 per cent strike rate – almost double the Bulldogs.
But the West Coast Eagles would be thrilled to see Razor’s name on the list of umpires for their matches more than any other team, boasting a winning percentage of 80 per cent when he held the whistle.
Melbourne and Collingwood also boast a strong winning percentage of more than 60 with Chamberlain officiating.
St Kilda has broken even with Chamberlain on field, while ladder leaders Port Adelaide and Brisbane have won just 40 per cent of their matches involving the league’s most recognisable umpire.
There is no suggestion of favouritism towards any of the teams, it’s just what the stats say.
Based on a criteria of a minimum of 10 games officiated for each club, we can reveal the best and worst winning record for every finals team by field umpire.
Umpire Andrew Stephens would be at the top of Cats’ coach Chris Scott’s list for the finals.
In the 10 Geelong games Stephens has umpired, the Cats have not lost a match.
Premier Richmond is more than comfortable with Chris Donlon on the field. The Tigers have a 90.9 per cent winning record when he is umpiring."

Re: Umpire No.2
25 - Shauan Ryan - top umpire - 346 AFL games and last 3 GF's. Great Experience.
27 - Andre Gianfagna - only 32 AFL games !
32 - Jacob Mollison - 238 AFL games and 2 finals

Seems like a good choice and mix of umpires. Let's hope that we do not notice their presence !!!

Re: Umpire No.2
Could be wrong but I think Ryan is an avid Cats fan.
Now I despise the Cats more than any team but he is very experienced.
So happy enough for this game.
Hopefully we don't get him in the GF vs Cats !

From above article.
"COLLINGWOOD
Best: Nick Foot - 12 games, 9 wins, 3 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 75%
Worst: Simon Meredith - 17 games, 4 wins, 1 draw, 12 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 23.5%
GEELONG
Best: Andrew Stephens - 10 games, 10 wins, 0 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 100%
Worst: Ray Chamberlain -15 games, 7 wins, 1 draw, 7 losses
Total Winning Percentage: 46.7%
Looks like Foot is a filth supporter, something I suspected all along.
If we meet the cats in a final, we need Razor Ray officiating.
