Rumour Lenny Hayes
Not sure if this has been mentioned or anybody else heard it. Kane Cornes on SEN this morning, when discussing Cogniglio being dropped, mentioned that word is Lenny Hayes is getting ready to walk away from the Giants. Is he preparing to come home to Moorabbin?

Re: Rumour Lenny Hayes
I stated in another post. I've heard from a good tomato sauce that things are not rosy up at the Giants. We need to shake that tree cause players are ready to leave. Go get em Saints!

Preferably to play. I’d take Lenny’s left nut over Ross ever starting in the centre square ever again.

Re: Rumour Lenny Hayes
They said he was walking away from football - hope that just meant walking out of GWS.

Probably told they won't be required next year with reduced money for football departments.
They will take the fall for the most incompetent senior coach in the AFL.
So much talent but can't get them to play as a team.
Their departure is being spun as their decision to move away from football.
More a case that those sacked have little chance of a new job with all AFL teams having to cut staff.
I hope that St Kilda can bring Lenny back in the future.
I wiil be surprised if Harvey survives at Collingwood.

Any chance he could come back in a playing role ?

Re: Rumour Lenny Hayes
In all of GWS's losses, Leon laments the performance of the midfield in every press conference so I don't think this has anything to do with cuts to the soft cap. As midfield coach, Lenny has probably been under huge pressure. Perhaps his methods are incongruous with Cameron's. I don't know but I don't think this would have been an enjoyable year for him. They re-signed Cameron so someone has to take the fall for the disappointing output.ace wrote: ↑Mon 14 Sep 2020 2:43amHayes and another assistant leaving GWS.66Iwasthere wrote: ↑Fri 11 Sep 2020 3:12pm Not sure if this has been mentioned or anybody else heard it. Definitely hope he comes back to the Saints!
I would be shocked if Harvey was cut from Collingwood's coaching dept. He and Bucks are clearly tight and have an effective working relationship.
