You’d expect a few more goals for $800k

Harsh language.

He’s been good I reckon. Probably played his best footy for us in the past few weeks.
If you want to get upset about over paying someone .. think about Hanners ... were gunna be paying him $800,000 a year for the next 3.5 years while he sits there icing his hamstrings.

Ratts agrees with you and so do I. It’s the momentum changes that cost you games.1965 Saint wrote: ↑Thu 10 Sep 2020 11:24pm Could have kicked the goal that would have won the game. That’s what you pay $800k for.
We had 3 goals in a row and if Hill kicked it we would have opened up a 2 goal gap
Ratts mentioned the Hill miss in his press conference

Imagine if we added Crouch to those 2 , that'd give us 3 scapegoats in 2021.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Thu 10 Sep 2020 11:33pm Has been disappointing but better value for money than Hannebery IMO . At least he is on the park
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Hill
I've been perplexed with Hill all season, why do we stop and kick it sideways or backwards to a bloke standing on the wing is hard to understand. He has no defensive qualities at all, wouldn't know what a contested possession is, people carry on about about 6 or 7 dinky little uncontested kicks, nobody looks at who he is playing on and their influence on the game, might have 3 premierships at Hawthorn but just filling his bank account at the Saints.

Re: Hill
Surely King's miss in the last quarter from a set shot 30 to 35 metres out was the costly one.
It would have put us 13 points up.
He missed from a similar place and similar kicks in two previous games just minutes from the siren we lost by under a goal.

Re: Hill
He’s an outside winger - never going to be an inside mid. He’s been good, baring a couple of games. He didn’t have a great game tonight but his game against melbourne was huge. He’s not the problem.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Thu 10 Sep 2020 11:36pmYou're serious aren't you?suss wrote: ↑Thu 10 Sep 2020 11:27pm He’s been good I reckon. End of story.
Has he kicked any goals this year? Maybe he has but I can't remember any.

He got an over-the-top one in the goal square earlier in the year, I think that’s it.

I thought you were going to say when he played on from half back, tried to centre the ball with a short pass, instead it was cut off and WC ran it down and kicked a goal1965 Saint wrote: ↑Thu 10 Sep 2020 11:24pm Could have kicked the goal that would have won the game. That’s what you pay $800k for.
