Saints 10th in Membership Tally
This is a great effort.
Getting into the finals this year and a couple more recruits will boost these numbers past 50k next year.
Well done to all members. The club is heading in the right direction.
If we go top 4 in the next couple of years then we can easily go 60-70k.
Even Richmond found 50k hidden members after a GF win!

Pretty damn good effort by our club (especially in the context of % gain compared to other clubs.

Re: Saints 10th in Membership Tally
I'm not sure which number is more satisfying. St Kilda having an incredible +12.9% increase, the 2nd highest in the AFL. Or the bummers having a 20.8% drop.

Re: Saints 10th in Membership Tally
Just proves once again that "success breeds success".
A wonderful tribute to the way all parts of the St Kilda FC have combined so well in the past 12 months to turn our footy club in the right direction to future success and prosperity.
The team's performance in 2020 lays the foundation for a new era of on-field success in 2021 and regular contention for finals and that elusive 2nd premiership!

"Any candidate for political office, once chosen for leadership, must have the will to take the wheel of a very powerful car, tasked from time to time to make a fast journey down a narrow, precipitous mountain road – and be highly skilled at driving. Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Re: Saints 10th in Membership Tally
It should be possible in about a year, to estimate how many members it costs to lose games like last night's and to Melbourne. Quantify failure if you like. Add in the cost of lost final(s) revenue. It would be much harder to estimate how much winning a crunch game is worth to us because there is little if any data on that. You would not want to estimate how much a winning goal is worth because our chaps have enough pressure to kick straight as it is. Perhaps a graphic of ten members walking off like the duck Duck in cricket after each set shot is missed inside the arc and between the 45 degree points.
