Getting a bit weary of seeing Jack not quite becoming the player we all know he could be.
We definitely could use his disposal skills off half back.
Distinct lack of confidence by foot often sees us go sideways, Jack is the sort of kick that can 'hit up' the corridor and break the play open.
He seems to struggle with confidence and lacks a physical hardness.
Perhaps being free to distribute and create might bring out the best in him, we could certainly use him taking kick ins !
He's a Rolls Royce but we're yet to find his best position, just gotta get the pill in his hands more.
Billings to half back ?

Re: Billings to half back ?
I think I raised this as an idea as well last week.
Depending on the players we recruit in the offseason, could be worth a punt but it won't be this year though.
It might require a different role for Clark though.

Re: Billings to half back ?
Our half back line is the best thing about the side. All of Paton, Clark, Coffield, Long are much better playing there than Billings.
Maybe it's just time to accept Billings is not a star, won't ever be a star. He's a good role player, generally finds enough of the ball and generally uses it just fine.
But he's not a star player. About 99 percent of his output is unremarkable

Exactly what posters on here used to say about Seb Ross. Before he won two Trevor Barker medals and was runner up in a third.carn_sainter wrote: ↑Sun 06 Sep 2020 11:55pm Our half back line is the best thing about the side.
