That’s correct... every time I did the ladder predictor, even losing our next two we made it easily.

The WB v WCE is the one that makes or breaks us if we lose
[/quote]

It comes down to
WC beat Bulldogs. They are done.
GWS V Melb. If GWS win we should be right.

Barrack for whomever vs MELB..

We have not secured our place in the top 8 yet. If we lose both of our remaining games the chances are that we miss by percentage. Have a look at the ladder!!!!!!!!!
If Eagles beat Dogs today I think we should be safe even if we lose our last 2 games

That's incorrect. The WB cannot finish higher than us because of their percentage.
If we drop our next two and they win their remaining 3 they will overtake us on points
WCE is there hardest game

They can if they win their remaining 3 games

And I can't see Dees winning 1 of their remaining 3 games let alone 3

Dogs could though

A tough hard crunching Eagles Dogs game today would be good

Eagles fighting for Top 4

Dogs fighting for Top 8

We want a hard tackling slog fest with the Eagles winning

Is the detail around that ‘upheaval’ likely to see the light of day in the popular media Tony?

Tony, can you tell us whether it is something to do with the league’s spending cuts?

As ugly as it was & Hawthorn had there chances to steal it in the last quarter a wins a win & we live to fight another day. Still no certainty but if we lost today it would have been all over for 2020.I'm glad for Gears to get a win in his 200th but generally just relieved we are still in the hunt for a finals berth. It's been a long time & I just want the team to experience the thrill of a final even if we go out in straight sets it will give them something to aspire to next year

The only way we can go out in straight sets is if we pinch fourth spot. And that is not going to happen.

Any chance of keeping politics to the GF?\

Seems to me, starting 2021 season preview with...
..
An encouraging start for new coach and team last season. Ratten led the Saints to the finals for the first time nine seasons.

Is sooo much better than....

After sacking Mathew Richardson in 2019, RattenS team men managed to repeat their 2017 story, starting well and sliding out of contention.

This will be long after we even remember the Hawthorn game, their four days, seven changes, bench of two....etc

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

i was interested to see Matt Finnis at the match and in the rooms afterwards.

Isn't he suppose to be in 2 weeks quarantine?

I’m sick of putting up lacklustre performances against shite opposition and having to “take the win”

What the Cats did to Essendon today is what we should have done to Hawthorn (and Essendon too btw)

Accepting mediocrity is a problem that is ingrained in many St Kilda people.

We’ve got to get rid of that.

No wonder we never won anything with him coaching.
