Re: Match Thread Saints vs Hawks
We must at least endeavour to play the way we were a few weeks ago. Run and carry - and play Ryder in the ruck.
They will tire in the second half and we will keep coming, but we need to do the things we were doing for the first ten or eleven matches and be taking our shots inside 25 metres of goal.

Geary didn’t even look before he bombed that inside 50

1/2 time
Saints 5.8.38 v Hawks 5.5.35
Plenty of players not contributing or doing enough

We could have kicked four, Hawks two IMHO that quarter, but both teams switched gears. At least we have a gearbox!
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Seb Ross handballed it to him. You know what they say right?

He had literally no time as there were two hawks right on him. Ffs if you are going to have a go at him at least watch and understand the game
And yes you are another broken record. Every second post is bagging Geary.

Don't like to pot a bloke on his debut but Ryan Abbott shouldn't be out there.
Have to get the job done today and bring Carlisle King and Membrey back.
Marsh and Abbott not up to it.
Clark is having a very ordinary period and even Ben Paton looks poor today.

Re: Match Thread Saints vs Hawks
How many uncontested marks, without any body contact what so ever have we allowed OBrien to take. We are now winning the ruck but still getting beaten at the fall of the ball.
Kent may be a good link man but he is pathetic in one on one contests and fumbles way too much when the ball is on the ground. He is one of those players that nearly falls over when he puts his arms above his head.
Geary allowing that young player to lead him to the ball on the boundary and then fall over in the tackle to allow his opponent to run into an easy goal. That was the most inept effort I've seen from a senior player in some time.
There is no way we are making a mark on the finals this year. Really ordinary 1st half Saints...

Should win but its going to go down to the wire.
We controlled the ball a lot that quarter. Hawks will be more tired from it.

Want to watch the most boring and devious thing on television and probably in mankind's history, then tune into a daily live press conference at 11am.

Marsh is about as useless as a stale VB stubby.

Re: Match Thread Saints vs Hawks
We are too short in the back line but they didn't replace Carlisle this week. Abbot and Marsh are useless and this would have to be their last games for us.

Re: Match Thread Saints vs Hawks
Looks like the Boxhill Hawks that a lot on here were bleating about have come to play, I hope Clarko reminds them that he wants pick three not the four points on offer today.

Half our side have not had a tackle. We need to play with a lot more intensity than what we currently are.

Had time to handball or hit up a lead. He only had one idea in his head as soon as he got the ball.

Are they playing the game at a disco?

Anything short of an 8 goal win today will be a failure.
That looks a long way off right now.

Have never seen Jack Billings butcher it like he has in the last ten minutes.
