Yeah started middle alongside Selwood a majority of time and still won clearances. Are NEALES games worthless because he rarely has a hard tag.

Lots of guys run around unattended, they don't all get 18 disposals, a handful of score involvements and 5 clearances. While he didn't get a rising star nomination, he was impressive and IMO it's only going to get better.
He will find the ball, get the ball and do something constructive with the ball.

Not ridiculous at all, from the TV vision it looked like he was doing it easy so on the face of that you'd say he had a good debut but he was given a lot of freedom by the opposition which wasn't unusual as Geelong clearly didn't rate our mids. It's just a shame a few of the experienced boys didn't exploit Geelongs lack of respect for our midfield.

I also think 'embarrassment' would be poo-pooing the current season for months and consistently declaring you don't watch any games yet still trying to tell other supporters who's playing well etc., AND THEN jumping on the bandwagon towards the pointy end of the season once it was apparent we're pretty good and this season is just as legit as any other

I think you're on the mark there Toy Saint. It was average and certainly a part of his game that needs work, we can't afford another midfielder with poor to average foot skills.
