Loss of the 4pts tonight was not unexpected.
Percentage loss worth a game as well.
painful though

If somebody tries to justify Geary's place in the side on pressure or role playing I will vomit all over the keyboard!
Fair dinkum, 4 touches in a game from your captain and 7 from your highest priced player,
neither good enough to tie Billings' bootlaces!

Geelong brought serious heat and we weren't up for the fight. But. We will beat the crap teams bombing long and crumbling. Tonight, no F50 system then forget it. Feel for King. No chance tonight.

Comprehensively spanked, but the season is not over. We need to learn from it and hit back ASAP.

Geary as an automatic selection is a liability.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Mon 10 Aug 2020 9:33pm If somebody tries to justify Geary's place in the side on pressure or role playing I will vomit all over the keyboard!

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 11 2020
Geelong have played just as often as us, yet we didn’t want to go as hard as them.
Thought we’d lose, but the effort and percentage loss is disappointing.
Need to bounce back and smash the bombers next week

Yeah I never noticed it when he was at the Hawks and Dockers, but it has really stood out this year.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 11 2020
It was a wasted opportunity at the selection table I think.
I would have liked to have seen the likes of Savage, Lonie and Abbott in the team. I know they are not in our best 22 and wouldn't have transformed into a win, but would have
provided fresh legs and given a few other players a break.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 11 2020
less than four days. the guys would have got home after two am friday morning.
the two return trips to adeliade were over six hours travel from the time they left noosa to arriving at adelaide oval. it's understandable. they were cooked thursday night but gutted it out (with a little butler magic). we should be rotating more guys.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 11 2020
Missed the opportunity at selection to rest a large group of players, concede that we were probably going to lose, but freshen up for Bombers.
Now we have even more tired and dispirited players trying to back up next week.
Jones and Ryder at least will be fresh.
Clark and Billings looked shot.

Ouch.
Next week is crucial, and Essendon aren’t a very good team.

Spot on. We were beaten yesterday afternoon.Russman wrote: ↑Mon 10 Aug 2020 9:37pm It was a wasted opportunity at the selection table I think.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but King, Coffield, Hill and few others should have been rested.
I hope it doesn’t come back to bite us on Sunday.
