With that sort of thinking, you’d never have seen Max King this year. Coff would be without any confidence and playing out games with Sandringham last year. Izaac Rankin would’ve had to wait until next year to debut

It’s not about today or the next 3 weeks, it’s about playing guys into form who are going to be needed at the pointy end. Long’s upside and his impact in finals at his best is what Ratten is banking on. I back our current coach and not the bloke who preferred familiriaty and the safe option
