In the meantime he won't be able to climb the goal post.

Does anyone know when they showed this? I thought it was during one of the breaks.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sat 01 Aug 2020 11:06pmSo our media unit should get on the front foot and put out a package of Rampe hitting King.

Hopefully he just gets a fine, but it was a very dumb thing to do.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Carlisle stood up for a first year player in Max King that was being punched repeatedly in the middle of his back by Rampe by that very hand.... he brought that hand into the game as fit he did not injure it during the game... considering Burgoyne is slamming people into hard grounds week after week and Hawkins got off he should get zero.....

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Can someone please explain why it's not a good look?
If Rampe is not fit to play to 100% then it's a risk playing him.
Duty of care has to be on the player that is taking the field, too!
Absolutely nothing in it.

If it’s good enough to hit people with it should stand up to a bit of slapping.Vazelos wrote: ↑Sun 02 Aug 2020 11:21am Carlisle stood up for a first year player in Max King that was being punched repeatedly in the middle of his back by Rampe by that very hand.... he brought that hand into the game as fit he did not injure it during the game... considering Burgoyne is slamming people into hard grounds week after week and Hawkins got off he should get zero.....

Just watching the replay now and they showed vision of before the first bounce of Rampe grappling with King and throwing a punch to King’s midriff with his bandaged right handkosifantutti wrote: ↑Sun 02 Aug 2020 10:46amDoes anyone know when they showed this? Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Just noticed on the replay that Carlisle copped a swinging hand to the face, off the ball, from Reid just prior to the Swans goal.
Left Carlisle on his haunches
Obviously missed by the commentators

In answer to the question posed by oldie60, Battle is next in line for CHB, but I'm pretty sure attempting to strike an opponent's glove isn't a reportable offence, whether or not it's in a marking contest!

He can accept a $500 fine. Seems a trivial amount.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Poor form from Carlisle - but I would be risking the $250.00 to call Rampe out for his hitting [of King etc] and draw attention to it. [And it is a cheap one to make a stand and not be pushed over - especially after we rolled over on the Murphy issue]

Why someone didn't let Rampe get front position and punch him clean in the hand is beyond me. Could have stitched him up several times without risk of the fine.

King kicked 3 on the dud. Had the last laugh. King is not scared. Like how aggressive he is already.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Rule 1 - don't play someone who is injured. Dane Rampe was largely only able to punch away and not take the contested marks as is his strength. Two goals were the result.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
To be fair - their list is decimated by injury. I thought it was pretty gutsy to play. Deserved a whack on the hand for being a prick and whacking a kid all night with the same hand. Fair game; play on.perfectionist wrote: ↑Sun 02 Aug 2020 11:33pm Rule 1 - don't play someone who is injured. Carlisle was charged under the "does not look good for the game because mummies may not let their little boys play AFL" rule.
Sometimes known as "misconduct".
Cost him $500.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
I'm assuming that Ms Wilson also gave Dane Rampe a serve for whacking Max with his gloved hand.
