Nath Brown leaves hub..
Going home to be with his family.

Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
Good call by the big fella in the twilight of his career.
He didn't get a call up against PA which means other than an injury plague to key defenders he is clearly back up and retained at the club for leadership.
Given his age and family responsibilities I thinks hes made a great call for the right reasons.

Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.

I like what he provides to our team. Was really good in patches last season. Hoping Dougal and Carlisle hold up this season now. Having Browny waiting as a replacement was very handy.

Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
Knows he will not be extended next year.
Knows he will not get a game unless a number of injuries.
Probably realises club will use lesser players Austin, Clavarino or even Joyce ahead of him.
Battle will probably be used as a key defender ahead of any of them.
Leaving the hub won't stop his pay cheque or lose him a non existent contract extension.
Why put yourself and family out with the prospect of being in a hub until October.
The toddlers will love having daddy home.

Hard to blame him if it doesn’t look like he’s going to get a game. I’m sure if the club said it needed him things would be different.

Right decision, family first.
Very encouraging for Clavarino. It also shows the Club is settled and confident with its back half.

Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
We could yer still see him play if one of the players is infected with Covid-19. It would mean all of the players would be banned from playing and put into ISO and players like Nat and probably a heap of Sandy players would be called up to field a team.

Clavarino and Austin just got a huge lift. Best wishes to Browny and thanks for consistent, professional service.

If a player gets infected the AFL will get special treatment somehow and allow players to join hubs. Bookmark it. The AFL are like the Vatican, they own the government.saynta wrote: ↑Fri 24 Jul 2020 1:31pmGo home to Victoria and you have no hope of getting back.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Fri 24 Jul 2020 12:49pm We could yer still see him play if one of the players is infected with Covid-19. Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
They’ve got plenty of plans in place for if a player tests positive. They could even halt the whole season for a month and still be right. That’s why they’re getting the games in now.

Disagree. They both need each other. It’s the perfect symbiotic relationship.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Fri 24 Jul 2020 1:43pmIf a player gets infected the AFL will get special treatment somehow and allow players to join hubs. Bookmark it. Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
Lethlean marked this. He said it might happen on SEN to players who were facing non-selection. Perhaps that is the proviso for us to take a big squad up there.
Hate to be a stick in mud, but for all patting him on the back, you do realize we are now a man down, on full (corona-reduces) pay.
Could be a slippery slide, just saying, as they say.

Re: Nath Brown leaves hub..
With Dangerfield calling for less players on the field, the AFL highly reactive to criticism from its statesman, and possibility that a hub infection could break out, Footy could return to Melbourne and games could be reduced to one-a-side.
Ground reduced to the size a sumo ring, with simple ball up.
I would be proud if Nathan Brown to be our sole player.
