Steele, Coff, Howard. Many of our others were simply non-existent. (Gresh gets an honourable mention I thought he was better than most gave him credit for.)

I'll take a four goal win at Adelaide Oval any day of the week. It was all about getting the four points.

Liking the way big Dougal is developing. He and Carlisle are like a pair of massive gates in our backline.

Just once I’d like to see King protected by the umpires the way opposition key forwards are.
He is infringed against in just about every marking contest and gets basically nothing

Indeed. Rare win in Adelaide with the weight of the umpiring not rolling our way. Will take it.

At this rate we have a 10+ goal loss coming up next week.

Way too many passengers, the usual suspects.

Best put in well. Wish he could kick the ball.
Those three named clearly out best.

There was a disgraceful chop of his arms in I think the second quarter that I couldn't believe wasn't paid a free.

He had one bad quarter but was lively all night, frequently competed and took the game on. Definitely in the votes for mine.
Does himself no favours with the goal kicking yips though

Gresh was good apart from that horrendous sitter he missed. His technique on set shots needs a lot of work.

If he wants to be as good as he can be he must nail those.

We broke three massive bogeys tonight.
First win against the Crows for nine years.
First win against Adelaide in Adelaide for 11 years.
First win at Adelaide Oval ever.
Fifth win against Adelaide in South Australia in 29 years.
Now for a shot at Port over there Saturday. We didn't play all that well tonight but we won anyway.
Very important to keep winning to keep our season alive.

He missed a sitter in the first as well.

I think he had one kick running in a straight line all game, everything is banging it across his body, needs to do better than that if he wants to be elite.

Worst-umpired game I’ve seen ... and that is saying something.

He was never going to be protected by the Umpires as soon as his name was called with our draft pick!!

Compare his mauling to the Tex free at the start!

Umpires had an influence - we were good enough to win - but when the commentators are saying the Umps had a bad night - there is no defending it - they made it ugly

And FFS please AFL allow people to take their free kicks without calling play on and allow for some tactics and cut and thrust of AFL to come back to the fore.

St Kilda 5 shots at goal from frees and Tex robbed of a clear mark straight in front.

The umpiring was terrible all round, swings and roundabouts.

Ahhh - so are you admitting that the umpires are not perfect and on a St Kilda website people should have a right to criticise them?

Umpiring was appalling all night and had a massive influence on proceedings but at least a couple went our way for a change in the last quarter which helped us get over the line.
