Are crowds allowed to go to games in SA from this month? If so, we will play against an extremely hostile crowd when we face the Crows.

Re: Round 6 and 7
If you have anything to do with SA or its people right now ... you'll no doubt be aware how on the nose the Crows are. Their supporters have massively turned on their club - CEO, Chairman, Directors and players. Funnily enough - Nicks seems to be getting a bit of a leave pass as they all know how absolutely sh!thouse their list is. We're more likely to have their fans barracking for us than themsamuraisaint wrote: ↑Fri 03 Jul 2020 2:09pm Are crowds allowed to go to games in SA from this month? No it's not.

Where then? Currently listed for Adelaide but why would you fly both teams there for just one match. Doesn't make sense.https://www.afl.com.au/news/460394/fixt ... te-unknown

Re: Round 6 and 7
The fixture says we play Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Freo and the Crows are the only two teams not to have a win yet, great opportunity for us to solidify our spot in the top 8!

Re: Round 6 and 7
How does that work?
We fly into Qld in the next couple of days and play our next game there.
Then fly a week later to SA?
What about quarantine issues for us in both Qld and SA?

Re: Round 6 and 7
There is basically free travel b/w Qld and SA without mandatory 14 day quarantine. Except if you're coming directly from Victoria.

Who knows, Think that's why the game's on Monday, If we go to QLD on Monday then we will have been out of Victoria for 2 weeks which is acceptable to the SA government.

But how can we play Freo next week in Qld when we will only have been out of Victoria for a week?
Is there no longer a mandatory 14 day quarantine on VIctorians into Qld?

Hostile against the Crows I'd imagine.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Fri 03 Jul 2020 2:09pm Are crowds allowed to go to games in SA from this month? If so, we will play against an extremely hostile crowd when we face the Crows.

Re: Round 6 and 7
I'm confused.
I've been watching/hearing reports all day stating that Victorians entering Qld after midday today HAVE TO GO INTO QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS at their own expense.
How is it that the Saints are flying to Noosa in the next couple of days and are set to play against Freo within a week?
No mandatory 14 day quarantine?
Are AFL teams exempt from the rules for all other Victorians in Qld?

Re: Round 6 and 7
My guess will leave for hub in next few days, play in QLD and then leave 1 or 2 days before game in Adelaide meeting the quarantine requirement of SA, hence why a Monday night game.
From there i expect to see Rnd 8 in Adeliade v Port.
From there we may see teams come back and perhaps even use NT for one off game again WC ( or WC come to Melbourne) , this way major issue is covered with SA border and a team not having to goto WA.
Just a thought

Re: Round 6 and 7
Great to see that the Saints are being rewarded for their attractive, winning form with yet more games on Foxtel. Meanwhile the Tigers get two more games on Channel Seven while averaging less than 50 points per game since the restart.

Re: Round 6 and 7
Membership and eyes on TV . AFL at mercy of networks this year and with Richmond having 80,000 or whatever members mean more eyes on TV, therefore better ratings and higher advertsing cost, especially now that no one at the games.kosifantutti wrote: ↑Fri 03 Jul 2020 4:13pm Great to see that the Saints are being rewarded for their attractive, winning form with yet more games on Foxtel. Re: Round 6 and 7
Sooooo, will there be crowds at the match against the Crows at Adelaide Oval?
EDIT: there will be - up to 25,000 spectators. This will make it real hard for us to win that one. I'd say Crows will have to be favourites.

It’s probably a Monica/Clinton type arrangement between someone at AFL HQ and Karen who runs QLDperfectionist wrote: ↑Fri 03 Jul 2020 3:21pmAny team that hasn't won a flag in the last 50 years gets a special exemption.

I’m more interested in the two gimmies we have been given. 5-2, then obviously premiership
