Tow ball definitely not playing
Who is Tow ball?
Who has a head that looks like a tow ball?
The tow ball on my car does not have any hair on it.
But it does not have a hamstring problem.

I wonder if game time being down 20% has anything to do with his disposals being down 20% ....?
It is arguable that with quarters being shortened from 20 minutes to 16 minutes that team possessions will be 20% less and hence individual players should have their possession count increased by 25% for comparison with previous years.
BUT
In the case of the best midfielders they may well have almost as much game time as in the past with lesser players having even less game time as a consequence.

So not only do we have reduced length of quarters but Gresh is also playing less game time. Which makes sense when you think of the fact he got a knee injury in round 1 and an eye injury in round 4. Of course his averages are down!

2019 81.68% of 80 minutes = 65.3 minutes
2020 69.75% of 64 minutes = 44.6 minutes
So he has only 68% as much game minutes this year
But he is playing as a full time midfielder this year whereas last year he was a part time midfielder but spent most of the time asleep as a deep forward.

Gresh is being played almost exclusively as a midfielder this year, whereas in previous years he was played as a fwd who ran through the midfield. He hasn't kicked a goal this year which is disappointing in itself as I would expect him to be a goal kicking mid. Volume of possessions I don't weight as importantly as others. I'm satisfied with his average of 17 possessions for the year, especially considering the injuries he's sustained - he's missed 3 and a bit quarters this year. My criticism of him is that he's butchering the ball and not creating anything when he gets it. Boots it up in the air or mongrels it like a C grade local footballer. Gun mids give quality service to fwds. Jack Steven was never A standard for mine because he too often missed targets going fwd, but he could pin point the pass - was too inconsistent. I've yet to see Gresh lay up a fwd this year but I've seen him burn the ball heaps.
Weak selection for mine. Ratts had a chance to send a msg

Pretty certain Gresh will be right.
Eye Eye Captain.
(Don't reckon he will play).
Tony,
you were right.
I would have given him a rest though.
I was wrong again. He played well tonight did Gresh. I don't like his kicking very much but he was good in close and laid some very useful tackles. Also seems fit enough. Good selection.
1st half he was unsighted apart from a good goal.
2nd half much better, and in fact used the ball effectively. I was much happier with how he played and hopefully the last few weeks have been an anomaly
