The figures are comparing round 1 to last year and round 1 had a good TV audience for two main reasons, no one could attend the footy so watching the game on TV was the only option. The second reason was the lockdown had staved footy fans so there was increased engagement for the restart.

The figures from round 1 have trended down significantly, between round 2 and 3 the numbers went down by a million.
