OK - I might be off the air for a little while.
Terry Smith Rules - RU there? Haveagomate.
...seems that TSR has left the building...
OK - name 1 of the (only) 2 Saints who have kicked 7 goals on debut.
For bonus points what round / year.

no st_craig, not George Young - great player and according to the link below had a "fine debut" (probably at HFF) and kicked 9 goals on his first try at FF.

Ric,
My records suggest the first win in VFL / AFL was R1 1900 (not 1901).
Does the answer you are looking for mean the last win in the VFA competition that the Saints participated in before transferring to the VFL?
I don't know the answer to that but hopefully it was against caaarlton

Sorry to chip in, but I have a three part question.
Who was the no. 1 draft pick in 1996?
Which ex Crib Point player kicked three goals in the 2004 Grand Final?
Fremantle originally had the first draft pick in 2001 but they traded it to Hawthorn for Croad and McPharlin. When was their next pick and who did they take with it?

25 minutes to make a name for yourself like you've never made before.

It was the Bulldogs we beat, in the 3rd last round of 1896.Sainterone wrote:I have a different ladder to you Ric!

The official VFA history book by Mark Fiddian states the VFA ladder of 1896 finished with Richmond last, having 3 wins and no draws to Carltons 2 wins and 2 draws and Geelong on 4 wins and 3 draws, but for some reason AFL tradition has always stated Carlton and Geelong shared bottom place, and there is some conjecture over the matter, but that is beside the point.
You are right.

OK.
The Saints - minimal success over a long period. Most fans have had to endure a lot of heartache to see a few (special) wins.
In terms of being on top of the ladder (P1) we struck a purple patch in 2004 when we spent 17 weeks at P1.
Prior to 2004 we had lengthy periods on top in 1965 and 1966 (10 and 9 weeks respectively).
Other than those years mentioned what was our next best performance in a year for weeks on top of the ladder? What year?

HD, as quick off the mark at trivia as S Milne when he's got the ball and sees the sticks.
We've been on top for a week or 2 on a number of occassions.
A hint...The year that I want is before your time...
