Super confidence building win!
The backline was outstanding and are melding together nicely
Some posters pretty harsh on a few players - thought everyone played a part
Need to follow it up though with a solid win against the Bluescum

I don't think the saints will give a s*** that you are not happy Kent was picked in the side.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 5:30pm Happy Ryder is out, not happy Kent is in. Let’s hope he does something, he usually has a good game first up...
We could win, hard to judge how Richmond are going, hopefully we don’t run them in to form.
I think if we kick straight we’ll win, but if it’s more of that 5.11 crap then we’re in for a looong arvo!
Earned his place afaic.

Wow, DuD, the Jones boy was exceptional , in my eyes, in the first quarter especially when Tigers had first goal and had their swarm happening. The Jones boy turned tables in middle, in my eyes. Matched it with them and best them at their game!The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:24pmBit harsh on Billings, easily most touches for us today (25) and Jones didn’t do anything for mine, and spent the end of the game on the bench injured.
Go you good things....!!!

Who do you think kept Dusty quite Chuck? Santa Claus?.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:12pm Greshem, Ross, Hannerbry and Howard were the most disappointing for mine, though most did something and contributed.
Really like the ruck setup with Marshall as the number 1, he’s only going to get better.
King was a bit quieter but competed well and probably should have gotten a goal if he hung on to that mark in the goal square.
Battle did enough to keep his spot too.

Thought it was a very even contribution . There were a few mistakes , but overall, I would be happy with that every week.
Thought jones was good when it mattered and think Hills game very underrated.
Gresh probably the big frustration, but if that's the worst of our problems , we're going ok

Yeah, Jones has played three and a half games and only been BOG in one of them. Definately needs to show more consistency.saintkid wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:57pmReally, Billings had the most possession today? Well, clearly a lot of those were cheap ones. Amazes me that we beat the reigning Premier soundly by 26 points but that is not good enough for some "supporters".

Best thing about win against Richmond and the win against 'Dogs, is that they were both worthy champions through 2016-2019 and we beat them both comprehensively.
Good kicking is good footy. What was it 14.4 and 15.3? Love it when we move the ball quickly.
Am I wrong in suggesting that there's a bit of the old 1978 about the 2020 model?

Wow. Serious bias.
Roo kept bringing Dan into the conversation.
I think Dan is doing exactly what he was recruited to do.

Do not get jealous about Dan's wage. He effectively only cost us a 3rd rounder. That was the trade-off.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 9:58pmWhat was that, chew up salary cap?

Only one of the six had played 50 games. They will only get better as they play together.

???? Billings has been in the best players 3 out of the 4 games, including this one. THE best player in probably two of them. Jones, did some good things, and we need his type, but I don't see his name in the best players for the game.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 4 2020
For me, Billings only played very well against the Dogs. Wasn't effective last night (a number of cheap possessions), nor was he against Collingwood or the Kangaroos. Jones' first half was instrumental in getting us in a winning position, he made some great plays. Watch again. Pity he got injured in the second half as he would have easily been in our top best players.takeaway wrote: ↑Sun 28 Jun 2020 12:01am????
