Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 4 2020
Greshem, Ross, Hannerbry and Howard were the most disappointing for mine, though most did something and contributed.
Really like the ruck setup with Marshall as the number 1, he’s only going to get better.
King was a bit quieter but competed well and probably should have gotten a goal if he hung on to that mark in the goal square.
Battle did enough to keep his spot too.

Totally agree. They have done well with most of the player salaries but the Hannebery deal is a still looking bad and is way off the mark. I also think Billings is not worthy of his contract either. Jones played a better game than both of them combined today.

Great result after last week’s effort. Did we finish with 20 fit players?

Marsh was brought in to do a job on Grimes. Grimes hardly had an influence. Plus Marsh became a scoring threat. Perfect game by him. Did his job. If don't see that, then you weren't watching.

Can't believe some of the negativity in this thread.
If you can't see the value in some of the recruits, you're not paying attention to the broader club change and form and are just looking for something to be critical about.
Especially when the exact details of all our players contracts aren't known.
Pull your heads in and enjoy the moment.

Bit harsh on Billings, easily most touches for us today (25) and Jones didn’t do anything for mine, and spent the end of the game on the bench injured.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 4 2020
I missed that too but when the game needed a play maker today, Jones did some very good things in close and setting play up in the first half (not sure how you didn't notice that). Billings didn't.shrodes wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:27pmWhat happened to Jones anyway? Yep, fair call.....I've already posted that he was much better in the second halfTrev from the Bush wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:02pmEat your words, he was the mismatch that really troubled the Tigers.silverhalo wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 6:54pmGot him for nothing so not critical of the recruitment. Annnnnddd - can someone please re-explain the unrealistic attempt rule to me - I am a little confused after Richmond's efforts tonight!

Yeah. Billings the leading possession winner on the ground. Get a grip on yourself Saintkid. Oh, you've probably got a two handed grip as it is.
Amazes me that we beat the reigning Premier soundly by 26 points but that is not good enough for some "supporters".

Slight hammy
100 goals in 14 games...Lockett is the key
Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 4 2020
Tough call.
Had 2 good weeks.
Kept Howe quiet last week and did a good job on Vlaustin today.

He'd be first picked.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 4 2020
Really, Billings had the most possession today? Well, clearly a lot of those were cheap ones. Jones, during his time on the ground, played a hell of a lot better today. That's the way I saw it. He needs to do more and show much more consistency.Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:51pmYeah. Billings the leading possession winner on the ground. Get a grip on yourself Saintkid. Honestly all I can remember from Jones tonight was him coughing up the first goal then later on being too worried about what was coming behind him and dropping a mark.saintkid wrote: ↑Sat 27 Jun 2020 8:57pmReally, Billings had the most possession today? Really like Battle in the team, can play both ends & great composure. I'm warming to Long as well. Hunter Clark coming along nicely, same as Coffield.
Seb Ross's dinky kicks are shitting everyone but what a sensational win. If only we had beaten the Roos in rnd 1.
