Have a look at the changes at the Tigers. The premiers aren’t giving their players any excuses

Same with other top teams from last year. GWS and the Eagles have also swung the axe

Dan Hannabery is very lucky to be playing. Zac Jones, Seb Ross and a couple of others on notice.

If Ryder doesn’t beat his opponent and if Marshall doesn’t kick a couple and contribute around the ground then surely a decision needs to be made.

I agree regarding getting taller. I personally thought no change and give some very poor performers a chance to redeem themselves. If Hind was to be dropped, Parker is the better replacement.

I worry that Battle has no zag to Richmond's zip.

I see Hind as anything but flashy. I see him as honest, under rated and doing the grunt work, which means little possessions. If you want flashy, look no further than Gresham.

6 new players, new coach, new assistant coaches, new game plan.

its the selectors dilemma: everyone was great against WB and most for 3/4 against North. Mids were pantz against the Pies. The precautionary approach - give the mids/on-ballers another opportunity. I don't expect to beat Dustin Martin, I mean Richmond, but there has to be a red hot go. While Hannebury, Hill and Jones probably assume they are automatic picks, if they are inept again I suspect a shake up - even if its positional and time on ground. Those big three recruits have reputational issues at stake now. I expect better from them and a corresponding improvement overall. I see Paddy actually holding his marks in the forward line and giving the Richmond defence a headache. But one win from 4 games means finals are getting unlikely, that North game will haunt us. But two from 4 we are right in it. Go Sainters!

Marsh came in last week for a smaller player and same sort of change this week.

I actually like Hind in the side and he was deprived of opportunities last week. His stats were low but on the bench for long periods and out of the play on the forward line.

I would only play one of Battle or Marsh.

Yeah it doesn't make sense both Battle and Marsh in the same side especially when we have two ruckmen playing. Playing only one ruck then Marsh or Battle (or one of the other talls) can do the chopping out.

I would imagine that expectations have been firmly put to the group - noting we are up against last season’s Premier side, so a challenge in itself there

I take the point that we have a significant number of players new to the Club, a couple of others coming off an interrupted 2019 and a new Coach (before we get to the strangeness of 2020 and the results being thrown up)

Ratten and his support staff including the IT resource know their jobs

So how much patience they will show is the question

We still have deficiencies - principally, to me , structure and the midfield both for the same reason (trying to fit in players who are too similar in output and consequently impact on results)

Hopefully the requirements have been made known and we see the response

The Coach has backed them in

So time to deliver

Finals are played at the MCG in September so we need to perform there - eventually at least!

There’s every chance we played a grand finalist last week so I’m glad we’re not making wholesale changes. We’ll prolly get pumped this week too because the other likely grand finalist is Richmond. It might take a few weeks before we know whether we’re any good or not. Can’t judge too much until then.

Got convincingly beaten last week with hardly a good player in the best 18 on the ground and make one change. It’s a joke. Rewarding mediocrity when we have almost a full list to chose from. What’s the point in putting in on the training track
