Hannabery - what a steal!
He and his manager should be up for grand larceny.

Hannebery had 16 disposals and 1 tackle. I'm sorry he needs to do more. That's an embarrassment. Feel free to post the one fingered salute if you're a fan of his but this isn't good enough for a marquee signing.

We could be paying first year recruits 150k a year for these numbers and the real amount of impact he's brought to our game.

Do you have any thoughts on anyone else other than the AFL or the umpires Moe?

You know, maybe the 22 blokes out there kicking the footy, or the many coaching staff?

One of the very few good things for the Saints today was that Carlisle was back in good touch.

Sadly virtually all of his teammates went backwards.

Pies played very well. Played as a team. Lack of footskills, thinking and team play by the Saints.

We still lack a genuine gun mid.

I have issues with Hill's Game:
- where was the run?;
- where was the carry?;
- why all the dinky kicks (some of which did not come off)?

He got 25ish - but how many improved the state of our game tonight?

I thought there were plenty of others that took the game on more than Hill - and after that performance - it is saying a lot!!!!

It's far, far worse than the Collingwood game in 2019, which was slightly worse than 2018.

Ten players from the 2019 game not playing today.

What the hell happened? Are Collingwood that much better than they were at the time last year....because we surely are better than the blockes we put on the park last year.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Fxxx off Ross - lazy s***
& anyone who kicks over the shoulder like an U9’s like Gresham
& anyone who kicks 5-15 metres instead of fxxxing hand balling

Fxxxing witches hats
I can take a loss (decades of experience with that)
But I can’t accept that crap 😡😡😡

Thank God for Butler - setting the standard

Thought Carlisle was terrible first half. Well they all were, but I will hold Carlisle, Hill, Hannebury etc. to a higher standard than a bunch of kids who have played 20-30 games.

Had a much improved second half but he should have been sopping up intercept marks with how many entries they were getting in the first half.

Good call. Accurate kicks but almost all backwards or sideways dinky chips. Not damaging in the slightest. Though to play devils advocate it seems like he did want to be a bit more adventurous at times and the rest of the team were not presenting

I agree with SaintsRising re Carlisle. I thought he was one of our best ( least worst?) all game.

We've got ourselves half a dozen Carlisles now if you ask me - all doing the absolute minimum to still pick up a paycheck.

Grundy was dominant nevertheless the response from our mids lacked skill, brains and effort. Battle will play next week, Clark might move into the middle. If all put in the effort Long did we would have got closer, but Pies are are much better team at the moment; we cannot match the combination of Grundy, Pendelbury, Sidebottom and DeGoey. Mids butchered the few opportunities we had early, makes it hard for the rest of the team. Hill will be embarrassed with his contribution. Jones and Hannebury tried but were wanting.

Let's not kid ourselves -
in the first four games of this block of games we play:
The 2016 Premier
The 2018 Grand Finalist (and very unlucky not to be 2018 Premier - let's be honest)
The 2017 and 2019 Premier (who won the GF by 15 goals)
Carlton

If we beat Carlton in a couple of weeks we will be doing well; shame we couldn't have grubbed a win over North back in March, but we didn't. We could have been 3/2 our way.

11 list changes, none of whom have been able to train together properly since March. We don't have a settled line up yet.

I think we need to turn over the list next week, bring in JWeb and give Battle a run at CHB.

Reckon Gresh could have a week off next week. Needs to get his head back in the game. Maybe due to his injury he is still recovering from.

Not really surprised but disappointed we went nearly a whole half in perfect conditions without kicking a goal.

I think we'll perform better against Richmond in the Maddy match as we'll be more up for it - plus I think we generally play well against Richmond at Docklands anyway.

My guts are starting to churn thinking what we sacrificed for Hill....add to him Hanners and we have 2 players that do 1 or 2 goods things a game, run hard but bring little impact....thought we already had that before they came....seriously.

I get it that we cant strike gold everytime...Butler and Jones are so far wwwaaaayyy more valuable.
