Max King will regret getting drafted to StKilda. Would have had three frees if he was a WB player.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Dogs Round 2 2020
Missed two absolute sitters, still surprised we’re not a few goals down, the dogs butchered a few shots too.
Looks like we can’t move the ball unless the Dogs make a mistake, but they can run right through us and our backline has been putrid.

Dogs must have got goal kicking tips from us
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Why the f*** do the saints keep recruiting footballer who can't hit the side of the barn. Jones kicking is f****** horrible.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Dogs Round 2 2020
Not as bad as the posts here would suggest.
We look average moving the ball out of defence in a contested situation... kicking it long to vacant dogs mids
The flip side is if we can run the ball, we look incredibly dangerous IMO
Could be further ahead if we made the most of our opportunities but the Bulldogs missed 3-4 gimmes too
Really like Jones though his disposal is hit and miss
King has presence about him
Clarke looks good
Steele is a class above when he gets the ball. Very composed.
Like Long too
Really don’t get the hype with Butler
IMO defence is our main issue so far

Looks like I was spot on with my call about the umpiring whingers coming out
I notice no one has mentioned Lonie’s ‘mark’ he picked up off the ground

I really like Lonie. I was one of his biggest critics. We threw him a lifeline with a 1 year extension and he proved himself a valuable player up forward. Was on fire then broke his leg. Really hope he gets back to that firm and more...looking good so far

Because it was a mark? Bobbled around his ankles but didn’t touch the ground as far as I could see

Hill is pure class. Can't wait to see him in a full season.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Clark is killing it.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
