Re: Jack Steven Knife Incident
If you sign up to play AFL you’re signing up to become a public figure and face of a brand (Geelong / AFL) whether you like it or not, and that brand has certain expectations.
If you don’t like that then go do something else. 95% of the dodgy crap players get up to wouldn’t see the light of day, so they’re probably getting off pretty lightly.

Ask him about Didaks incident the Shaw and Wellingham debacle. Ask him what Beams relationship was to Kim Duthie. Deny deny deny then lie.

We traded him out for peanuts and are supposedly still paying part of his salary so we are entitled to know what is going on.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sun 24 May 2020 3:07pmMaybe you can explain to us all how it's any of his or your business!
Perhaps if there is antisocial behaviour involved we might be able to trigger an escape clause.

Who cares what's going on, glad he's Geelong's problem now, and good riddance.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 25 May 2020 6:19pm

Oh for f**** sake. If you can't tell the difference between a loser spilling his guts in the press looking for f****** praise or sympathy, from a guy who was probably stabbed by his ex and is the mother of his child ,trying to keep something private, then that's your problem, not mine. :rollfreely wrote: ↑Mon 25 May 2020 2:50pmCrikey moses, Saynta - is that you in the other thread getting well and truly stuck into Rod Butterss? We are paying part of his salary. What part of that don’t you understand?HarryM wrote: ↑Mon 25 May 2020 6:51pmWho cares what's going on, glad he's Geelong's problem now, and good riddance.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 25 May 2020 6:19pm

Based on the recent events, I'd say that's money well spent wouldn't you?saintspremiers wrote: ↑Tue 26 May 2020 9:16amWe are paying part of his salary. I guess it’s better than paying his whole salary but prefer we weren’t paying any of it.BarryGrogan wrote: ↑Tue 26 May 2020 9:38amBased on the recent events, I'd say that's money well spent wouldn't you?saintspremiers wrote: ↑Tue 26 May 2020 9:16amWe are paying part of his salary. I just hope he takes time away from football. For the whole season ideally.

Yep, would rather pay part salary and have him out and another clubs problem than pay him full to sit on his arse and not play in 2020 and beyond.BarryGrogan wrote: ↑Tue 26 May 2020 9:38amBased on the recent events, I'd say that's money well spent wouldn't you?saintspremiers wrote: ↑Tue 26 May 2020 9:16amWe are paying part of his salary. If we retained him I'd doubt we'd been able to afford to recruit Hill, Howard & Jones due to salary cap.
I bet the club management are quietly extremely relieved and happy around their decision to release Jack from his contract and trade him for #58 which now looks like a bargain for us.
Who was the poster that was writing we should have held out for two first round draft picks for Steven or not let him leave?

Re: Jack Steven Knife Incident
Do you still think Steven was worth two first round draft picks, the same as Tim Kelly or do you now realize we dished off a ticking time bomb and did very well to get this guy out of our club?To the top wrote: ↑Wed 20 May 2020 7:52pm The story is circulating among the inner sanctum at Geelong who do not expect to see him on the park at this juncture
It won’t take long before the story is public knowledge
To the top wrote: ↑Thu 22 Aug 2019 3:31pm So reports fed to the media by Geelong are that they require 2 (two) First Round Picks for Kelly
But to obtain Steven they will offer a Second Round Draft Pick
Steven is a 4 time B&F winner and of greater value to St Kilda than is Kelly to Geelong (noting Kelly has been at Geelong for how long?)
I would be putting 2 First Round Picks on Steven’s head if Geelong want him

You've still not explained how it's Eddy's or your business.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 25 May 2020 6:19pmWe traded him out for peanuts and are supposedly still paying part of his salary so we are entitled to know what is going on.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sun 24 May 2020 3:07pmMaybe you can explain to us all how it's any of his or your business!

If he has done something worthy of a contract cancellation, then Geelong will sack him. That doesn't look like happening at the moment, so it's a fair bet that it's not the issue.
Neither you, nor anyone else, are not entitled to his story.

I hope he doesn't speak now...when Eddie Mega-quire is pushing for it. Of course I like a good story to go with my Corn Flakes in the morning though.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!
