No one here knows what "thier" thoughts and feelings about the season are, but there is zero evidence that shows they are unmotivated or not taking it seriously, and plenty of evidence that directly contradicts that.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Thu 21 May 2020 5:03pm"Everything said publically",The_Dud wrote: ↑Thu 21 May 2020 4:47pmTranslation: "I'm in no position to"

Let's wait and see what the Mickey Mouse competition looks like around August...if it hasn't been shut down before, and consider your question then.

Re: Saints are injury free
Plenty of players train all preseason and do injuries in round 1. Players who ate concerned about injury, are concerned about injury.
A key part of professionalism is motivation and preparation. If that is not your key focus as an AFL player, not doubt you might be concerned.

It's why many people are talking about the restsrt being a farce and this flag being worthless.
My advice would be don't take this season too seriosly as I suspect many players won't be either so you'll only get frustrated.

If you are measuring performance based on a historically simplistic sporting binary outcome and totally blinkered to the impact of an unprecedented world event in the history of mankind then sure, it's business as usual and our team is crap.Beno88 wrote: ↑Fri 22 May 2020 10:03amAnd yet our opponents managed to get the job done, while we didn't. And the fact that it is more than likely that playing lists will be reduced to 36, with a reduced salary cap, which means that at least 7 players will no longer have a job. But hey it is a mickey mouse so comp this year so why don't we save ourselves for next season .... yeh rightoSecret Kiel wrote: ↑Fri 22 May 2020 11:25amIf you are measuring performance based on a historically simplistic sporting binary outcome and totally blinkered to the impact of an unprecedented world event in the history of mankind then sure, it's business as usual and our team is crap.Beno88 wrote: ↑Fri 22 May 2020 10:03amAnd yet our opponents managed to get the job done, while we didn't. Actually you make another very good point about players struggling to find motivation, with many players facing redundancy at the end of this year, about 180 players, and players that won't ever play AFL again, these players will find it hard to get out of bed.Groovy Guru wrote: ↑Fri 22 May 2020 3:04pmAnd the fact that it is more than likely that playing lists will be reduced to 36, with a reduced salary cap, which means that at least 7 players will no longer have a job. I hope our players are made of sterner stuff, especially as quite a few will find their way back on to AFL lists.
