Umpires ruin another season
When we were dominating we got zero from the umps to point Ray even ignored a clear kick and trip. The two deliberates both horrendous calls. Goldsteins using both hands to push our rucks out of contests allowed to go in penalised. Constant forward 50 tackles not getting rewarded. Absolute joke.

Re: Umpires ruin another season
King 2 goals from free kicks, Ryder 1 from 50 metre penalty. That’s 3 out of 7 goals just off the top of my head.
This thread is a bigger joke than this attempt at an AFL season.
Not surprising though considering the cluelessness of some 1-eyed (no eyed?) supporters.

Membury marked when King got his second and Ryder was 15 out. Kings first free was after he was held onto Tarrant got told then he broke got blocked then Tarrant wrapped him up again. Finally paying a free.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 22 Mar 2020 3:43pm King 2 goals from free kicks, Ryder 1 from 50 metre penalty. That’s 3 out of 7 goals just off the top of my head.

See the two deliberates?

Thank you for starting this thread Curly, may it continue and you refrain from posting about umpires on the match day thread.

From afl.com.au
Jasper's minute of madness
"North Melbourne defender Jasper Pittard probably wishes he could take back a crazy period in which he made two poor decisions in quick succession – one of which he was made to pay for immediately, and another that could yet prove costly at the Tribunal. Midway through the second term, Pittard went to ground and as Saints forward Dan Butler gathered the ball and went to jump over him, Pittard thrust his right foot out and took Butler's legs out from under him in an action that will surely attract scrutiny. Umpire Ray Chamberlain missed the indiscretion and called for a ball-up and Butler became demonstrative in his disgust. Moments later, St Kilda ruckman Paddy Ryder marked strongly 30 metres out before Pittard made it a certain goal when he gave away a 50-metre penalty by pushing over an opponent.'
Hope the little leprechaun prick gets suspended.
Chamberlain not Pittard who is a dog all the same.

And I am not sure that ROMA's mark at the end - which could have been a match winning goal opportunity - was even a mark.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 22 Mar 2020 3:43pm King 2 goals from free kicks, Ryder 1 from 50 metre penalty. That’s 3 out of 7 goals just off the top of my head.

Re: Umpires ruin another season
Good teams have an ability to overcome the occasional bad decision they get from an umpire because of their skill.
Whatever the result today it was ours to win or lose and we failed to take our chances.
Blaming the Umpires feels like the worst kind of cold comfort.

Re: Umpires ruin another season
Because the free was deemed before the next action - the mark doesnt count
what you are erroneously talking about didnt happen
the only way it "might" have happened your way was if Membrey was in an advantage situation
