Kent ahead of Battle, jeez! Well, no matter the Coach, there will always be the selection head scratchers.

Yeah, I agree. Kent is not a patch on Battle when you put it like thatLinton Lodger wrote: ↑Fri 20 Mar 2020 7:29pm Kent ahead of Battle, jeez! Well, no matter the Coach, there will always be the selection head scratchers.
Re: Emergencies for game against the Roos
Battle seems to me to have the makings of a top centre half forward. It would be appalling to lose him by not giving him opportunities.

Posted this in the Morwell game thread
Battle have a poor pre season?
Has he gotten ahead of himself?
Swingman training has him out of sorts?
Thoughts.....
Attitude???

McKenzie ... who?
You know the player drafted in 2014 who can’t make emergency, not allowed in VFL due to COVID19 and will have 2 years left on his contract!
Oh

I thought he had a good preseason, better than Kent for certain. Must be team balance.

Battle needs a position.
I'd play him CHB ahead of Carlisle personally.
Or permanent forward.
I really hope we don't screw him up trying to be Jack of all trades.
Still better than Kent though

Re: Emergencies for game against the Roos
So from my preferred side put on this site, Carlisle (not considered on interrupted preparation), Coffield and Battle are missing
So 3 footballers with good abilities including 2 with potential
Perform guys (noting only the 22 will get the opportunity on field so pressure will need to come on the track)

Kent's spot to lose. I expect Battle will be in next week if he doesn't perform.

Re: Emergencies for game against the Roos
I am uncomfortable with Battle out of the team.
Should King in his first ever game and Ryder not click then Battle would have been a good substitute tallish forward.
Same applies in the back line.
Howard and Wilkie required to stop North talls without Carlisle or Brown.
It would be nice to have Battle as an option.

Re: Emergencies for game against the Roos
WHY wouldn't we play battle when Carlisle isn't playing? Absolutely ludicrous.. our club beggars belief sometimes

Re: Emergencies for game against the Roos
My guess is Roberton 3rd tall option and bit more flexible than Carlisle. Probably Wilkie and Roberton kept him out

Ratts has certainly rolled the dice and wants to go with an extra small, fast player rather than Battle. We will wait and see ...ace wrote: ↑Sat 21 Mar 2020 1:04pm I am uncomfortable with Battle out of the team.

What's happened to Savage? All of a sudden we have some depth.
