Does whinging make you feel better?
Fill in your idle time, go search for toilet paper or count the empty shelves in your local Supermarket.
Football as you knew it is officially over.

Or say - St Kilda - Everton - Melbourne Stars

Re: Is our club jinxed?
Of course we are. I look at parents who bring their babies along in Saints colours and think, how cruel. A lifetime of expectation never fulfilled. The jinx was lifted for just two minutes on one Saturday afternoon in late September 1966. This was because the Jinx god was having a wee. The Jinx god only has a wee once in eternity, so we were a bit lucky. Until then, it had firmly been in place for 147 years. It has remained in place ever since.

Re: Is our club jinxed?
Maybe. We should have done much better over the years especially in the 60s and early 70s and around 2004 to 2010.
A team of our champions over the years would piss on the best of the other teams. Absolutely piss on them.

And 1997 and let's not forget the 1913 debacle. That one really hurt.

Feel your pain here Saynta... I’m the same. Never had any doubt for the win in the lead up and to this day I’ve never rewatched the match or even really like to go back and think about it.saynta wrote: ↑Tue 17 Mar 2020 9:01pmNoTrev from the Bush wrote: ↑Tue 17 Mar 2020 8:39pmBloody Bob Keddie!

I hate that we got injuries
I hate that we were thoroughly out coached on the day
Hate that some assey no hope player had the one good game of his career that day
Hate that Harvey was targeted
Even hated that Aussie Jones kicked one of the most memorable goals in a GF... in a losing effort
All of 04-05, 09 and the draw are much easier to swallow

Re: Is our club jinxed?
With some smart recruiting we had an air of excitement
... and most importantly an EASY Bottom 6 draw.
That limited the number of 2019 top 6 teams we played twice
and increased the number of 2019 bottom 6 teams we played twice.
That triple whammy actually gave us a good chance of sneaking into the 8 like Brisbane did last year.
But the "fair" no double-ups draw destroys that chance.
... so the answer is YES

I've never got over Bob Keddie. Why couldn't he have put himself in front of Hudson when Cowboy came a steamin'?skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 17 Mar 2020 11:18pmFeel your pain here Saynta... I’m the same. Re: Is our club jinxed?
Jinxed? No. I think cursed is the word you are looking for.
We were going to win it this season.
Now the best we can hope for is a compromised premiership, one with an asterix. Not a real premiership.
It could happen only to St Kilda.
