Re: Intra-club Today?
The conundrum for opposition sides will hopefully who they assign their premier KPP defender to
Marshall, Membrey or King
Best case scenario is that one of Marshall, Membrey or King gets off the leash opposed to the opposition’s 3rd choice
It is a team game

reckon he'll be pinching himself if that happensSecret Kiel wrote: ↑Thu 13 Feb 2020 7:54pm Looking forward to seeing King go up against his first AFL defender that doesn't wear RW&B.
Stratton will be keen to test him if he plays.

Re: Intra-club Today?
the Clubs been quietly but consistently“...has a club role now doesn't he? looked very fit as always, good to see past players involved “
pulling this ‘area of need’ up to speed
over the last few years
will pay huge dividends
(has already , no doubt)
well done Saints

Re: Intra-club Today?
I hope all this talk of not expecting much from King this year is to deliberately stop the media noise about him, and internally they think by the second half of the season he will be a regular and valuable forward (not necessarily our dominant forward - that will have to be Skunk!).
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Re: Intra-club Today?
very poor by the club. I only heard about it because I happened to catch Ratts on SEN and he mentioned it
Was filmed by the club from the balcony and Foxtel also had a camera there, looked more set up for a few grabs
There was also a dedicated photographer who shot a couple of thousand pics, I've seen about 3...
has the comms person gone on holiday or something????
no email, no social about the game
surely they could have pieced together a highlights reel of the intraclub?
in previous years there were full replays, iirc...
I like it the club hasn't been as loud this off season but they have been very sparing with some stuff
maybe trying to keep the focus on the AFLW?

Re: Intra-club Today?
Missed a great PR opportunity and a little bit of fund raising for the social club.
The pre-season intra-club is always a great evening.
Would have been great to build on the hype and excitement of the trade period leading into the Marsh Series.
Disappointing effort by the club.

If you pop over to Big Footy Ratts has posted a copy of his game plan with a breakdown of his set plays.

I don't know much, but wouldn't it have been an opportunity to make a little money?

Remember when the intraclub was this big club event that reminded us of the happy days at Moorabbin...spiral3 wrote: ↑Tue 18 Feb 2020 9:58amvery poor by the club. I only heard about it because I happened to catch Ratts on SEN and he mentioned it

Lots of footage and match day reports
Things seem a lot less inviting these days

Re: Intra-club Today?
I remember the last really big Intraclub we had back at Moorabbin was in March 2002. For a couple of years in a row - we played North in those games. The one in 2002 was significant for specific reason however - it was literally 24 hours before Carey was outed for his affair with Mrs Stevens and had the teary press conference announcing him leaving the Roos.skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 18 Feb 2020 8:10pmRemember when the intraclub was this big club event that reminded us of the happy days at Moorabbin...spiral3 wrote: ↑Tue 18 Feb 2020 9:58amvery poor by the club. Barry Brooks played one of the single best games anyone ever saw that day
40 hit outs, 25 possessions, crunched everyone
