Luke Partington
Might be worth a look if we're targeting a mature age player with Pick 51 (if he's still there - apparently a few clubs interested).
"Looks a different player from the inside midfielder who departed West Coast with six games to his name at the end of 2018. Has added run and carry to his game and recorded a sub-three second 20m sprint at the SA Combine. Averaged 29 disposals, winning a SANFL premiership and the Magarey Medal this year."

Re: Luke Partington
I hope we do get creative one way or the other and stockpile midfielders of any denomination.

Why the love for Biggy?
Have seen him live twice and he was less than impressive.
Rookie at very best for me.

People love saying ‘Biggy’
And think because that’s his name, he is big, therefore good?!

Re: Luke Partington
We'd be silly to use pick 51 on Biggy. We just wait until someone bids on him and use our next pick. The only issue is if he's picked up early and we rate him highly, it will influence next year's first pick.
I think after about pick 35 we are ok.

Re: Luke Partington
Up against some fair competition for a place in West Coast’s midfield - and delisted returning to SA
Commenced with Norwood playing half a dozen SANFL games at Senior level before being Drafted - but in returning to SA apparently priced himself resulting in him signing with Glenelg where he won the Magary Medal and was a premiership player (against Port Adelaide in the Grand Final so PA got a good look at him)

He was hopeless.

Re: Luke Partington
Looking at the list of Magarey Medal winners, not too many turned out to star in the AFL, with the notable exception of Nathan Buckley.
Hard to say if Luke Partington has real potential and if he is any good you'd think he will be selected well before Pick 51 is called.
My preference for 1st pick is another tall (preferably mature age) who can play ruck and KP as that is what IMHO the club needs more than anything now.

Re: Luke Partington
The Margarey Medal winners from 1995 (inclusive because McIntosh never entertained leaving SA) back evidences some pretty fair names
I would think that is Partington had any attraction then either of Adelaide or Port Adelaide would be after him on the basis of disclosed form against them in the SANFL during the season just past
Mind you Kelly puts a different perspective on State League form
Now everyone is looking for the next Kelly

Re: Luke Partington
nor with the JJ liston or the Sandover medal either, there is the odd name that is familiar but apart from Sam Mitchell no stars going back to the early 90's that won any of those medals (a few ex good afl players won after delisting thou).
