I struggle to see how Kent would get a game this year as a small forward behind Billings, Gresham, Lonie, Parker, Butler & Hind. He doesn't have the running capacity to go though the middle or play high half forward.
He's fast in a straight line only with poor lateral movement. Bring him out twice when we play Melbourne, he certainly played a cracker against them.
This may be just a small isolated incident with Hannebery, a storm in a tea cup maybe.
I prefer to look in patterns and anyone who cannot see a pattern with Hannebery and fitness and his ability to get himself on the park is burying their head in the sand.

It’s why I laugh when ppl say we’re cursed. We make shockingly bad, ill thought out decisions and consider supernatural forces at work when they fail.
Should we have sacked Richo at the end of 2018?
No let him see out his contract with a view of sacking him if he doesn’t make finals... what harm could he do?
Desperate to make finals we over pay to get Hannebery, lure Kent with the promise of a long term contract and don’t trade Steven who apparently really wanted to go.
Steven pretty much walks out for peanuts
Kent is terrible and surplus
Hannebery is dropped from the leadership group and finds it difficult to stay fit

Metatarsals are horrible. When they 6 weeks, it means usually 6 weeks to get out of the moon boot and another 6 weeks to where you were before the injury.
Gilbert came back too early from his metatarsal a few years ago, and ended up reinjuring it.
Don’t expect a full pre season and even a JLT would be a big ask.

Inverse to your quote it's also true that it's remarkable how often strong institutions find ways to overcome 'bad luck' with their professionalism.
We've got no one to blame but ourselves. Which is actually comforting because it means we can become a club that isn't beholden to the next quirk of fate that impacts us.

I’m also a bit suspicious regarding the over explanation.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
I think any reasonable person would at least question how a grown athletic man can injure himself on stairs. 8yo’s manage stairs... my dog used to climb to flights of stairs multiple times a day as a puppy without an issue... heck many elderly ppl with mobility issues can manage stairs.
I for one hope he was drinking because if he wasn’t... and he wasn’t carrying a big box or something like that then I think we have a bigger problem

Unless Hill damaged that knee in a tragic accident that occurred as he was getting out of bed I don't think the reaction will be the same.

What is not funny is that if we weren’t paying (the reported) $800k or whatever the number is to this guy, we may not have had to let one of Bruce, Steven or Acres go due to salary cap pressure.
