We targeted several players, and landed all of them.

We gave up players that we were prepared to lose and in some cases - wanted to move on.

Next year's 1st remains in place.
We did and it has been!. Think folks are being too caught up in what we lost instead of what we recieved. Really happy in what the club has achieved. For me the only real loss is Bruce but I reckon with Ryder in to help Marshall and both can rest forward. Marshall could well go up another level and become a dominant force and King may come on quicker than hoped.

We have added much needed speed and class with Hill and Jones. Howard could end up as anything but he has all the tools to be an A grade backman and this also gives us flexability with Battle.

Realistically its a weak draft this year and a severely comprimised draft next year. If you're going to trade overs in late picks, this is the time to do it. We still have our first pick though!

Go Saints!!

Agree.

We needed Hill and Jones badly IMO.

We basically gave up pick 6 and Acres to get it. Great deal for us.

We then effectively swapped Bruce for Howard and Ryder.

Good deal for us. Depending on what Howard becomes of course.

Then Butler for Steven. Downgrade on Steven from 2018 - upgrade from the Steven of 2019.

The future draft picks mean nothing.

Ultimately, we're instantly a far better team on paper now than what we were last week.

not so sure yet

lost pick 6, next year 2nd round, Steven, Bruce and Acres
Very positive we went into the draft with pick 6 and not much else.

and look what we left with
Hill already a gun
Dougal decent defender from what I have read but played out of position. Frees Battle up to go forward
Zak Jones Fast but does need to work on his decision under pressure
Ryder Another decent ruck who can train Rowma
Dan Butler. Not overly impressed with him but he was cheap but we have enough small forwards.

We lost Bruce which will hurt but frees up a spot for King and battle
We Lost Jack Stuvo. Didnt want to play for us
Blake Acres Fringe player for most of his career in a bottom 6 club. rarely lived up to expectation
Pick 6, second round next year (not fussed about third round+)

What more do you want? Well done guys take a F@#kign Bow
And we have a new coach to boot.

I hope we don't have to boot him too soon though.

We would be able to get him for nothing and with our young list profile + losing jack, surely a bit of experience wouldn’t hurt. Minimal downside risk I would’ve thought.
Everyone on here hates him. Havent you been reading this site?
I zone in and out over time... Really think hed be a decent asset, rate him against probably half our list.

Only joking. I thought the same
