One Saint in Robbo’s top 50
Rowan Marshall at 47.
ROBBO SAYS:
One of the finds of the season and on track to become another Brodie Grundy.
The Numbers say:
Rated above average for a ruckman, ranking second for disposals and contested possessions and No.1 for score assists.
Potentially another one tomorrow.
Brad Hill 43
ROBBO SAYS:
Don't think he's worth the 900k as has been reported, but he's a bloody fine footballer.
The Numbers say:
Ranked No.1 among wingmen for metres gained, No.3 for uncontested possessions and No.1 for score assists.

Not likely to be in Robbo's top 150.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

No mention of any other of our fantastic 43 players either strangely.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Indictment on the 2012-14 rebuild
Pelchen and Elshaug set us back a decade with a ‘blueprint’ that was flawed from the start

I don't think it was the blueprint it was the execution.
We picked the wrong players.

Re: One Saint in Robbo’s top 50
Maybe getting rid of leaders and a young developed ruckman wasn’t a good idea after all??
Especially to try and rebuild in a compromised draft period
Giving up high picks for lower multiple picks
Drafting a key forward with the number 1 pick for need rather than taking the best talent with the No 1 pick
Who would have thought we’d have no elite talent???

How did McEvoy and Petracca go in the top 50?B.M wrote: ↑Wed 16 Oct 2019 9:27am Maybe getting rid of leaders and a young developed ruckman wasn’t a good idea after all??

Sounds like they didn’t make it so this post makes absolutely no sense.

Re: One Saint in Robbo’s top 50
Marshall will be an absolute gun. But not yet.
Based on the last few games he was really good (honestly he struggled early in the year)
There would be 4 or 5 better 'ruckmen' going around at present.
I agree he should be top 50 (top 25 .....) next year if he continues to improve. If I was to pick a team for a game tomorrow he wouldnt get a gig. However if I was to pick a team for the future (5+ years) he would be a high priority.
