Young expects deal to St Kilda is almost done- to be lodged Tues
CH7 reporting deal basically done over weekend and will be lodged in the morning.
It was an interview with Young, and so that was Young stating it.
Young has flown into Melbourne this afternoon to complete the paperwork.

Brad Hill's long-awaited trade imminent after Saints step up for Fremantle

Brad Hill's drawn-out trade to St Kilda is imminent as the Saints edge towards finding the picks necessary to satisfy Fremantle.
Hill has two years to run on his contract with the Dockers but nominated St Kilda for a desired return to Victoria, where he won three premierships with Hawthorn.
Despite having a five-year deal on the table for the 26-year-old, the Saints last week traded away pick No.6 in a swap deal with GWS.
That landed St Kilda picks No.12 and No.18 but it left many to question whether they had called the Dockers' bluff or missed out on the chance to complete a trade for Hill.
Negotiations over the weekend and on Monday saw talks progress, with Saints list manager James Gallagher looping in other clubs to find picks that will land in the hands of Freo footy boss Peter Bell.
"Fremantle at all times wanted picks in this trade period," Hill's manager Colin Young told 7NEWS reporter Tom Browne on Monday night before a meeting with St Kilda.
"St Kilda will have to work pretty hard to appease them and get the right picks for them going forward.
"There's been a lot of work done on the weekend and this morning so I'm hoping in the next couple of hours we'll get a positive outcome, if not tomorrow morning."
While the paperwork cannot be lodged until the morning, an agreement on Monday night could see the trade follow the path taken by West Coast's trade for Tim Kelly.
The Eagles and Geelong confirmed the broad details of the trade the night before the deal was made official.
Young said the Saints stepped up to the plate to get the deal done.
"To the credit of both clubs they worked pretty hard over the weekend. We were in constant dialogue, the three parties," he said.
"James was meeting with other clubs today to try to get a positive outcome for the Fremantle football club so I'm hoping that either tonight or tomorrow morning Belly might get it across the line."

This news hints as a multi-club deal.
So this may also mean that the Bruce deal is done, along with Port for ward and Ryder.
Cats maybe too, but Steven will not generate the value that Bruce will.

Definately overs.
One player will not change our side much at all as need other A graders to also come in to really have an impact.
Losing Bruce is going to hurt our side and good luck to the doggies on a good pick up

Except....

....which if accurate means 2019 picks.
Which is why I think the Bruce deal must be done too, as the reported also stated:

No trading future first:
Simon Lethlean: “I’m not particularly interested in moving our first round pick, it's something we shouldn't need to do.”

Yep and channel nine news and Lethlean himself said next years first should not be required. Most deals all bundled up

Re: Young expects deal to st Kilda is almost done- to be lodged Tues
Disagree. He will make a huge difference. Hill runs all day and wills himself to the contest. He's an elite disposer of the footy so no more bombs into the forward line.
He will find a target and deliver it laser like.
Finally, He is in the minds of some former coaches and players the best wingman in the AFL.
This is a great boost to our footy club. Get excited. You should.

A player's manager saying that the deal is 99.9% certain. Gee, I've heard that before - just before the player waltzes to another club. This trade period for us looks very much every other in the last decade - dregs.

Also, you are forgetting Bruce requested the trade. No one wanted him to go.
But he wanted to go to the Doggies because they offered him four years on big bucks.
If he doesn't want to stay, and he doesn't, then there is little that can be done or said.

Young has flown into Melbourne today to complete the paperwork.
Plus the way he spoke was very much matter of fact and that it is a done deal.

Re: Young expects deal to st Kilda is almost done- to be lodged Tues
Heraldsun is reporting
12 and 18 to Port
10 to freo and saints first next year
Hill, ryder, howard to saints
Would do next years second in replace to next years first in a heart beat, but it could end up being a pick in the top 5! which would be way overs

A player like Hunter must be wrapped, all of a sudden he's going to be working along side players like Dan H. and Hill. Now for the Zac Jones deal please and our midfield is starting to look quick and mean.

I could live with this IF we get something decent back from Freo, i.e. a second rounder that we can flip for Jones
