Not for this year though. He clearly stated it's 100% not happening this year. Next year however...

Re: Ben King Enquiries..
If by chance the Dogs give up that first rounder for Brucey and another pick/player, then it could happen this year. Would probably really need decent steak knives to get it across the line.
13 & Acres for Hill.
6 & (insert player here) for King.

Re: Ben King Enquiries..
I can guarantee it is not happening this year. He isn't going anywhere. Next year is a different story
Re: Ben King Enquiries..
Its a bit of a 3 steps away from the story. But apparently Ben King said to some teammates before being drafted that if he got drafted to GC he would do his 2 years then come back to VIC. The fact we are asking now about the potential of trading for him for next season gives a little bit of validity. Would happily take him if we are shifting on Bruce. Would also require Trading Acres, Selling Newnes and trading McKenzie. Get as much capital as possible.

Is it just me that thinks it shows great character from the young man to want to honour his initial contract, despite the lure of playing alongside his twin brother at the club they grew up supporting?
I'm of the opinion all draftees should be required to fulfill the first 2 year contract. What a privileged position they find themselves in. But that's just me

In some way's yes but these two new teams have devalued the culture and value of loyalty.portosaint wrote: ↑Mon 07 Oct 2019 4:19pm Is it just me that thinks it shows great character from the young man to want to honour his initial contract, despite the lure of playing alongside his twin brother at the club they grew up supporting?

Makes Bens decision even more admirable I guess. If he stays of course

Do you know how many clubs are going to be into him next year.

If it's gonna happen then GC might as well get overs for him this year.
For us this would have a Roo-Kosi feel about it -- great for morale.

You may notice my avatar has become grumpy - any suggestions where Ace can have his old "Ace of Diamonds" card avatar hosted for free would be appreciated.

Too optimistic. Freo wont accept that. We would have male a choice between the 2 players.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
